Any idea why the hell is a lot of people so hostile in the game, but here in forums its preety peacefull, i mean, i once mutiyned as LO against commander for being shit and just being ignorant and incompetent to hell, then suddenly, i have like, 6 people for no reason of "OMFG YOU MUTINYED EVEN THOUGH WE JUST RESEARCHERS AND SURVIVORS SO WE KILL YOU" trying to rekt me, once i demoted commander and myself in his gear (mind you, nobody else could be one) he procceded to literaly try to get his position back and c4ed bridge, i runned away in disposals and killed 4 of them, while being assisted by a innocent sulaco medic who said how bullshit this is, guess what happened to her? she got shot to shit like me, she had no armor, i had op armor, but we both ended up being injuried, and i kept using my non-lethal taser and e gun untill no more charge, i then responded the lethals with lethals, the battle ended with me and sulaco medic with 2 alive guys being brought to medbay, only 1 rambo griefer researcher got cloned, they rest did not thankfully, even the old commander, so after having sulaco medic tragically die (15 heart damage, nobody could fix it...) and attempts to save her failed, here comes the 2 stupid people, the survivor and researcher who kept screaming how i was a fucking mutinyeer and piece of shit and how i started it (so apparently you a piece of shit for demoting incompetent idiot commander and for trying to save my ass life against griefers? ok), after some guy in looc told me how DSAY was wtfing at how Brock survived this many bullets (commander jacket or his uniform is a very powerfull armor), i lagged a bit and game stopped for 5 seconds, and the researcher pulled his prodder out, stunned me and the survivor cuffed me, they immideatley started putting anesthetics on me but i managed to call for help and marines saved my ass, after that i had no more interactions with them, later when i retreated to bridge with LO because xenos invaded, suddenly, pressure overload and we all keep hitting ourself into everything untill we die, alien major victory...
I can list a lot of moments i seen hostile actions such as:
Shooting someone to death for punching/pushing them
Going on mass mutiny for no reason at all
Breach and then fucking toss marines into space
Using lethals on marines/mutinyers who have every right to mutiny and you have a non-lethal gun anyway but you use lethal instead...
Fucking up atmos
Stealing or using guns they not suppose to get ahold of anyway
Ramboing against a heavily armed people as researchers/survivors
Being aggresive as fuck to players and staff
I would love to report them, but it would take me not only forever, it be most likely just pointless and i would have to try and find they Byond Id, which is something i cant really find out unless they aliens.

Uh there was a mut last night as there was no LO's at some point or something and the pjs maybe rebelled against the commander as he was dealing with marines trying to stop things from going to shit but i couldn't see and text because of the damn pjs spamming radio multiple times and the 1st commander ends up dead then cloned and was going to be used as a test subject for genetic modification by medics to which I break him out and we go on a mission to find out who killed him and well may have killed a LO and medic to find out so then we decide to kill the commander to get him back in power

Generally on the server people get annoyed at incompetent or new players and then that makes others angry.

Meh, i dont get it why people are angry because some guy mutiyned against a incompetent commander and try to kill him ( none of them were mps, all were researchers and survivors expect for 2, one guy was lo and other a marine, but the marine realised what the bullshit is going on and left them)

It all depends on the way you tried to demote the commander, really. I had my fair share of riots before the mutiny rule was implemented, and all I ever needed was the support of a lot of people to succeed. Make sure you have people backing your actions up, so anyone opposing you will think twice before attacking.

Aeleto, i used a taser because he had a e-gun preety much, so any melee attempts and he would react quick as fuck and the survivor guy would probably disarm me, but still, only survivor saw it and nobody else did, they did not talk how i arrested him, just a survivor with researchers decide to help him for no reason, like survivor barely said anything to researcher and he was already trying to save commander ass and trying to stun me, like no words were even told to researcher what happened, he just instantly tryed to help and somehow knew it was going on despite him being in a lab working...Aeleto wrote:It all depends on the way you tried to demote the commander, really. I suspect the people were either
1. Metafriends, because the instant i demoted him and stunned him, i was being harassed untill the brig that even started breaking windows and bringing guns and people with who nobody talked to started to help
2. Just plain old retards
I suspect the 1 because the way how suddenly researchers went rambo at me for no reason (they saw nothing, heard nothing and were not told anything, just randomly attacked me with prodders)
Because who the hell helps a retarded commander (who given very bad orders, was overall shitty too, even disallowing LO to use radios) when a LO arrests him, do i need to mention he had a e-gun too? and he also did not even want to talk much.
And to be fair, i dont mind 1v6 of pvp, but its getting annoying when its by some guy who rages how you mutyined and demoted him for being a asshole and generally, incompetent.
Researchers and survivor just for absolutley no reason join commander, even though they heard absolutley nothing and seen absolutley nothing expect the survivor but still, why would you want to be involved against military vets and etc..., the Lo did too, he just seemed passive untill i got attacked, guess who he joined? them, despite them actually attacking me with lethals and me trying the best to shot them with non-lethals, i was happy the marine guy got his senses back and sulaco medic tryed to help me... but it does not help the fact that i was attacked with lethals, while i kept using non-lethals untill they run out of charge to shoot them.

Thanks man, the battle there was hardcore as fuck, i was shot 10000 times and had to keep literaly using a lot of melee weapons against them and killed 4 people, the other one chicked out and i almost got the other guy but he came to his senses and stopped and me and her got dragged to medbay...i think you know what happened nextSargeantmuffinman wrote:Well I was the medic that tried to save her and healed you back to full health.

Why you heff to be mad? Is only gaem.
And it's true. People will get extremely pissed off or hostile, some far beyond the unecessary. Wether it's because they're special snowflakes, attention seekers, have highly specialized views or whatever ... Of course when they're on the forums where most written things is more permanent and visible and it's the 'formal' place they gotta be nice. And of course when their robusting skills in-game, authority or behaviour etc is questioned or challenged there it has to be the biggest atrocity ever. How dare they fucking punch you? They're gonna get shot the fuck up. Or "Oh god that fucking idiot nearly pushed me out of the pod i'm going to throw him off it." Pretty sure most know, since a lot have been there themselves. It's just the problem that a lot of those people also take it out of hand like mentioned. And like a player in an ahelp described much better than me, gamers in general feel themselves superior to other gamers. SS13 community is pretty ... Special, though.
