you've been there, survivor before the marines arrive, or a marine stranded from his squad, or a shitty rambo specialist off alone to get the epic battle royale xeno kills, but while you may have serious firepower, your enemy, presumably not alone, can probably meme you to death as a drone or low tier weapons as human opponents, so I'm here for one reason: to facilitate discussion of how best to utilize your strengths when fighting alone, regardless of why you ended up here.
so discuss, and talk about what your best chances for survival in a given game type or map, optimal loadouts, plans, etc.

If you are a medic and are alone for any extended amont of time, pop yourself with a combat dose.
2 Improvaline,
1 bicard
1 kelo
1trama
1 peri
In any chance that you get jumped, one: bicard/kelo will keep the damage from stacking, the improvaline and peri will prevent internal damage from stacking while keeping oxyloss away and keep a mild painkill and keep you up, trama for pain.

It will also pretty much guarantee you survive being captured, so it's nice for the xeno too!Daturix wrote: ↑27 Dec 2018, 02:12If you are a medic and are alone for any extended amont of time, pop yourself with a combat dose.

This as medic. I always bring doses for myself. If you have an IB you dont need to go up since you can literally fix it yourself. Having 3-4 Fractures is plain easy to manage if you have painkillers so you can keep healing marines.Daturix wrote: ↑27 Dec 2018, 02:12If you are a medic and are alone for any extended amont of time, pop yourself with a combat dose.

BRING LOTS OF SPLINTS this is the one thing that always ran out when you're a good medic. Throw the Tricord injector in the advanced first aid for a splint. Then just ask a doc for a tricord pill bottle. (Its easy to make)
As survivor i bring gas mask in case of boiler smoke.
Solaris Fix the Generator(Its just one) then try to electrify all the doors you see in the way. Also undo the vents in ETA. Helps a lot. Also in lambda if you can. That is if you're too fast
For prison. Get tactical shottie in the security offices from a locker. Shoot it with a shotgun in the armory Get the nades too if you can.. Best holdout spot is in wardens office. Bring a gas mask if you can since boilers can pretty much gas you inside the office. If you spawned inside the crashed ship get the steel in the ship and swat armor outside(No movement penalty) then rush to sec office and repeat(Crashed ship is too big to handle as one person. A burrower can just tackle you or destroy the turrets when you're not looking.
For LV rush to north of lz1 to get plasteel (if you spawned as an engineer or something). Or go to medical and get two stacks of metal and plasteel left of the surgery room. Rush sec office in nexus(Lots of weapon in there). Another tactic is to go in the secure dome which has a shittone of weapons. Downside is you're really far from marines when they deploy(Because marines always deploy on lz1.
Researcher or doctor wise. When i do field surgery i bring 2 or 3 space bottles so that my patients dont get necrosis even if a step "fails" just chuck them with 3 pills which is the OD limit rest assured you wouldnt get any necrosis.
For tools if you want to Sneak out like i always do Always get the almayer autopsy kit. Chuck it in a bag. Bring anesthetics.
LV has complete tools when you get in the medical + the autopsy kit just bring a screwdriver or wrench if a bone setter or a bone gel doesnt spawn.
Also steel for the limb printer. Just ask an engineer to fix medical.
Solaris has complete tools too + autopsy kit. Just bring a screwdriver since mostly theres no bone gel.
Ice has a surgery tray spawning. But too dangerous. I dont do field in ice since its too hard to get a kit also ice damage too when you remove coif. Which is Kind of irrelevant
Prison has a full kit spawning, Just without cautery sometimes. But you have to bring a bag for the tools. Also the bluespace beaker in chem room for making metal foam for powerful nades.

I just play medical since ping is 100+.

If you KNOW you're going to be captured, just pop another improvaline or double dose QC, which is super fast even in combat.
