It is entirely replacing the Nostromo (aka vanilla station) Z-level. Everything on it will be gone. Leaving it in plus the ground map will add unacceptable amounts of lag for no real benefit, since marines vs. xeno games will, from that point on, be taking place on the ground map + a nicer, redesigned Sulaco.

Are survivors being added? If so add them as archaeologists, using the equipment from the research station. It would make sense with the caves etc

Oh... 5-6 Xenoarchaelogist should be able to call the distress signal for the marines, then Marines arrives... Unless, start the timer for about 10-20 Minutes.

Can we please get aliens to spawn later in the round? Like, if you are picked for alien, then you auto observate, then after X time aliens spawn in the caves or something, attack the archeologists and they send the distress. Distress event triggers and briefing blast doors open (Some automated blasts doors connecting briefing with preparation areas, not the docks).

If this happened marines would have time to eat after the sleepers without worrying about aliums getting everyone good, archs wouldn't know when aliens are going to hit them, aliens would have prep time before attacking at all, and etc.

Or just make the delayed start thing an "Event" or something.

i feel like if the archs have to send the message via a computer, aliens will just camp at the computer and wait...... that is my main big worry..


i don't exactly know how to fix this but i'm thinking of something else.. with that maybe if the archs do manage to push through the alien's camping by the comp and send the message, could maybe heavy shutters come down to lock out any unwanted intruders... i'm also hoping this room with the Computer in is small..

We could have something like five archs going out and there is the officer who just sits back and watches them through some cameras attached to there shit or something....

OR we could have something like the officer thing but if any unknown biological entity that enters the facility there is some alarm and lockdown or some shit but just throwing ideas out there.

By the way, because half of the instalations are destroyed, it wouldn't make sense for the archs to not know about the aliens, my suggestion is that the research wing didn't know about anything that happened during "That night" to the other places of the ground facility, so keep research untouched and the map in deep night and it makes sense.

They can, but I usually see a max of three drones on round start, one becoming the queen, usually. And with 4-5 survivors it'll be hard to stop all of them activating the signal.

If it is a research facility then most rooms should have a sort of mail system right? like for samples and such between like labs and storage and so on. So if there are no vents then the xenos should be able to use those... well just an idea

There will be vents. The Outpost designers shouldn't be retarded. If for some reason a atmospheric problem would occur (E.G. The planet's air becomes poisonous) they would have a integrated atmos system so the outpost members could still breath

Yeah but vents that go completely across the map wouldn't make sense, from a logistical point. Why have a vent that goes all the way across the map when you could have localized air systems that as you say would most likely be for just emergencies.
