Ghost ship map (lots of pictures)

Hi guys!

Inspired by Abby's excellent ground map, I decided to make a space map. One of our end-goals is to have a cycle of diverse maps, and I thought a claustrophobic map set in the halls of a ruined warship would be a good contrast to Abby's jungle.

The ship itself is divided into two halves (two z-levels), the upper deck and the lower deck. The lower deck is connected to the main floor by a few ladders, and, when compared to the main deck, it is generally darker, harder to navigate, and has narrow passageways. I still have a lot of work left on the asteroid caves left to do.

The marines will dock their shuttles at the asteroid tunnels, and will have to navigate to the ship on foot. For now, the asteroid caves are filled with air for simplicity. (perhaps the stranded crew pumped air into the caves?)

Let me know if anyone has any ideas.

As it's you know a (crashed) ghost ship could it maybe not be xeno vs marine orientated more like infectoids vs marines or something ?

So if we combine this : viewtopic.php?f=59&t=2215 with the map i think it would be great.

On another note Well done for the multiple floors by the way, also can you show where the sulaco shuttle would dock if possible ?

My biggest gripe and I know it's early on but it'll save you time later..

Every photo is extremely symmetrical with even tables, walling, equipment etc.

While it's good to aim to have everything even and perfectly placed.. sometime's it looks odd. Not sure how the rest of the stuff looks, but this is just judgement based off a few photos.

It's good. I also like the idea that we could use another enemy than xenos for a map like this later on ... A 'dead' enemy like mentioned.

Really awesome map right now, because it's new and fresh.
I would like to add that IF you can, have the map rotate every round,(in the code at random), so it doesn't get bored about 2-6 months of the bat.

Fairly sure it will be added to the Alpha Map rotation once fully finished along with some other maps.

I think it would be interesting to require the marines to have hardsuits and internals or something, I realize that this would end very poorly but having a unpressurized map would be fun to play on, at least I think it might be.

Well it would have to require us not going up against aliens due to when we get facehugged we would die from lack of O2 and pressure..

Which is stupid, since facehuggers are lore wise supposed to feed the host air and even catalyze the atmosphere to change the gasses in it to something the host can breathe. In a vacuum, they would probably just recycle the host's CO2 Output.

I have the asteroid caves filled with oxygen currently. I'll probably just put some oxygen equipment everywhere and explain that it was terraformed by the ghost-ship crew (or USCM scouts?) to be breathable.

Hasn't been much, I've mostly been working on the Alpha development. Still, if anyone has any ideas, I'd be open to hear them.
