Hey guys, just a heads up, I tweaked some of the walls for Alpha, instead of using the base unsimulated shuttle walls we're now using much fancier simulated custom bulkhead walls, which lets us have a lot more control over what they do! Plus I painstakingly did some directional sprites for them and I think they look really great. I also did some new walls for the shuttles to differentiate them a bit from the ship itself.
Here's a preview!
Edit: Edited with an updated shuttle!

The Sulaco walls need more shading and variety. As it stands, they're 90% one colour, and unless you apply that theme to an entire station, it doesn't work well.

I wasn't sure about it myself at first, until I spent some time looking around the Sulaco with the new walls. It actually looks really good once you get used to it, much better than just single blocks all over the place.

You never see those black boxes though.
It's only like that on the outside of the ship, you'd never see it in-game so it's pointless.

True. I was thinking if she just wanted our opinions.

Those black boxes are kind of unavoidable unless you want to have two types of wall for a level of detail that basically no one will see. Whats happening is that the sprite/icon file for walls has a wall tile that's connected to the north, south, east, and west. Those are the corners just forming those boxes, so if you ever changed it to say solid grey, every one of these 4 connected wall pieces would look solid grey... and kind of dumb when placed anywhere else (since any wall connected to n/s/e/w would be just grey). So for the most part it's fine as it is because in a regular round your not able to see it without the use of mesons and you don't have a reason to stare at it.

I like them. Maybe if they were a little darker or varied in shade the others would like them as well?
