So, there's three of us. Me, Vira Taryk, Bruce Mcmullen, Henry Mcfarlen. Vira and Henry make a mad dash for the armory, grabbing the pulse rifles for protection. Bruce has tools and plenty of metal. metarunners are hunting for survivors without any facehuggers at roundstart instead of getting monkeys like they should be.

So we move south of the vault, set up girders to protect us while we're breaching into the vault. Bruce gets clipped a couple times by bullets, so there's a sense of urgency as he's slowly dying. He manages to breach inside the vault, but not before dropping into crit. Afterward, we finalize shutting ourselves into the vault, and await for backup. Henry hops into the pod, and I find a way to force myself into a powerloader as a survivor (I'm not telling you how, no).

I am now currently in a Mk 4 powerloader, ready to run the absolute fuck away from the xeno swarm, evidently the entire hive was present there.

My powerloader starts taking massive amounts of damage, so suddenly my controls are going haywire. the powerloader is going lightspeed across the map, outrunning the runners and hunters. I manage to happen upon a regiment of colonial marines, and suddenly I'm saved. They manage to get me off-site and we miraculously survive.

Bruce gets cloned, Henry managed to draw off the other half of the swarm and eventually get away. At the end of the round, we all manage to survive and pull off a marine major victory.

The general lesson: There is strength in numbers. As a survivor, it is critical to your own survival that you group up with some weapons and tools in order to get into and out of places and survive.
Or you could have one of MY rounds, where I stepped outside of the dorms I spawned in, grabbed a gas mask and a crowbar, and instantly a runner was there with two face huggers and grabbed both me and the other survivor I met within thirty seconds.

Then I broke out of the shittily constructed hive, stole a grenade from the table fort, stood in front of the runner and screamed "EAT ME!" and set the grenade off inside of him.

How about this bad idea.

Instead of there being survivors replace them with a WY Biological Examination Team. They start out fully kitted out in/next to the colony and their job is to examine the site to determin what occured to the area, they spawn in with Hazmat suits which also double as good Facehugger protection (two to three blocks) and maybe a sidearm and other misc examination equipment.

So instead of half naked survivors that either hide in a locker for 40 minutes, die instantly or hide in the bush for 40 minutes you have a WY team doing something that at least has the ability to not die instantly.

That is actually a good idea, they would have to have some funky examination equipment as well.

On another note would it work better with bio suits or hazmat suits ? ( RP wise work, better not anti hug better )

Something akin to the guys from that weird Aliens: Colonial Marines game.

The basic idea I have is that about three to five of these people spawn in a landed ship on the planet, or on foot not far from the colony. They have access to a bunch of examination and other standard gear, for example they would have a container that could hold a live facehugger or larva. They would also have a basic self-defence weapon, likely just a pistol.

Their job is simply to examine the colony and determine what occurred. If they figure out enough about the aliens, such as capturing a live facehugger and/or even preforming a autospy on a few dead T1 aliens they can return to their ship and report into command about what they've found.

That or they just linger around and role play the situation.
