Was about to say the same thing. I mean aliens are capable of melting walls, if there is no alternate route available then they can always create one. Just the other night a couple of aliens broke into the FOB through the kitchen, completely bypassing the heavily defended (and mined) entrances and caused huge amounts of damage before we managed to take them down. Kind of makes me wonder why that ability isn't used that often..

I think mine's are meant to be a sort of early to mid game counter to Aliens, since by the end game the Aliens have access to a wide range of options to bypass mines, from the Crusher that can just walk through them to Praetorians that can melt any walls very quickly and rapidly.

They were nerfed in anticipation for the new Sentry Turrets I believe.

Having explosives, mines and automated turrets shooting in one direction would of been too much

I have...actually shot a drone point-blank with an AP rocket and it has survived. So, yeah. The nerf is strong.

A counter for that, don't let the marines reach the shuttle, or send in a Crusher to sweep the minefield. (please don't derail thread please don't derail thread)

Well there are several windows you can break in the shuttle. But like Dalavi says let's not derail the thread. Back to the wonderful world of high-explosives!

Explosives were slightly buffed today. I tried out the SADAR but I noticed little difference, close range hits from HE rockets were not critting Aliens and all kills came from having to follow up with SMG/Rifle fire.

Direct hits with AP Rockets are also not doing much, but its hard to tell due to the fact I'm relying on in game experience and not actual testing.

At bare minimum Frag Grenades should at least kill facehuggers...

This is a bug and unrelated to damage.
