Predators are a unique part of this server, and the applications aren't being processed fast enough. I know that they haven't been implemented to the game to be part of a "spawn", but it seems like a key part of the server is being ignored. I'm not suggesting the head staff are lazy, so much as that they're too busy to attend to the applications, and that perhaps extending the ability to be "accepted" to admins and moderators as well.
The idea would be a sort of vote as follows:
Head Staff - 4
Administrators - 2
Moderators - 1
Players - 0.5
You'd need to get a total of 8 votes to be accepted.
These are a few arbitrary numbers that can be adjusted depending on how difficult it's supposed to be to be accepted, but it'd make the process a whole lot easier and reduce the strain on head staff, and encourage further activity on part of the staff members in the community.

Long live our Soviet motherland,
Built by the people's mighty hand.
Long live our people, united and free.
Strong in our friendship tried by fire.
Long may our crimson flag inspire,
Shining in glory for all men to see.

Re: Predator Applications
Players would hold no count towards any vote.
We already had issues with staff previously mutually +1ing eachothers Apps.
Would be a massive circle jerk.
Id settle for Heads of Staff and Admins to hold any sort of real voting power.

Re: Predator Applications
I honestly didn't think this'd be an issue. If they're voting for an application, wouldn't it be because it's to a good standard and not because they're voting for your own application? There has to be a solution of sorts to address the fact that some of these predator applications take upwards of a month to be decided on, and it can't rest on the busiest members of the community.Pink wrote:We already had issues with staff previously mutually +1ing eachothers Apps.

Re: Predator Applications
Were a bit slow, because were still making predators.
THey aren't fully "finished" or implemented, and the onyl way for them to even be put into the game, is if a game admin or above is online to spawn it, and set the name,.

Re: Predator Applications
I agree with Pink, the circle jerking potential is huge. Cliques are one reason I can't stand a lot of rp servers despite loving to rp.
Apop also has a good point that they aren't even done yet. Maybe a rule change to make it possible for all staff to have an effect on the app once preds are done and auto-spawning, but I can't agree with the decision to allow players to affect the vote beyond +/-1s for opinions on the player. I fully believe everyone's opinion matters, but if you set a hard number of player votes then you are looking at a circle jerks flooding it.
I recently put my application in and am going on what I show I know through my writing along with rp ability as demonstrated by my server activity. I know quite a few players out there know me and I'm glad they're stepping forward to vouch for me, but I wouldn't want them to have an official vote. The staff has a knowledge of the predator mechanics better than the players and as such are more qualified to judge who can wield the power of the predator.
