Exactly, if I saw some red colored dog raptor creature screeching at me as it charges with two plungers in it's hands, I'm not gonna be like: "hold up I'm not gonna die looking like /this/! Lemme put on this shade, no maybe this one it's prettier!" And I don't really get relationship role play but it's existed long before CM, not my forte, rather be killing XENO SCUM!Toros wrote:I'm really amazed that marines win at all when so many of them are worrying about things like lipstick color and who they're flirting with on a given day instead of the murder machines on the surface.

You're aware, different people have different coping methods. They can also maybe...do this before actual combat? As well as to cope with the horrifying fsct that they might all die?

Yes, but you're also someone cites regulations allowing lipstick, yet ignore the ones that prohibit hair from being anywhere near the knee length your character claims.Mitchs98 wrote:

Lose hair cannot fall below the collar, and all hairstyles must allow headgear to fit snugly.
The whole purpose of training is to allow marines to continue to do their jobs under stress, and basic is designed to wash out those that can't.
Pretty sure no marine, even a BAM, is going to pull civilian dumbshit moves and not get assigned to whatever the worst job on the sulco is.

I should also clarify I meant the part about flirting/idly talking to other marines, not scrambling around for lipstick.

Colonial Marines is medium roleplay. There is a lot more that goes on in an individual round than Marine vs. Xeno's. There is a lot of Drama and Angst players bring to the table that can really benefit or restrict rounds.

Re: Lipstick.
But they are still MARINES. I can't imagine any woman marine with a smear of goddamn lipstick on her lips. And those floor braids make me boiling a bit. And those wedding dresses...Vrai wrote:Colonial Marines is medium roleplay. There is a lot more that goes on in an individual round than Marine vs. Xeno's. Wedding dresses are from the Colony and should only be worn by survivors. If you see a marine out of uniform report them to an MP, if the MP does nothing, report the MP and the marine to staff. If staff do nothing, make a staff report form here on the forums.
Marines in the actual army do indeed wear makeup. Special Forces women and men can have hair that is long and not tied if they are overseas.

Or would you like seeing a facehugged marine with a cut leg?
I always make sure that yuri dies with the cigar lit and the armour on.
