[Closed] For good paperworkers and RP-ers

Post by Infernus » 21 Oct 2015, 20:07

So, the Ice Colony map is near finished and I'm looking for some good members who are interested in helping me out with the In-Game story of infestation origin.

People who are interested and good in doing one of these things below:
  • Paper work
  • -- XenoBiology/XenoArcheology/Experimental Energy Weapons research data, reports, findings, science...
  • -- Medical, engineering, maintenance, security reports...
  • -- Overall mission report, findings...
  • Blogs
  • -- Personal blogs, thoughts, findings, lovers...
  • Books
  • -- Science related... Why the fuck not? The map has a library
then this is the right place to do it.

IF YOU CONTRIBUTE:
Each person who wishes to contribute will get his own department, job (Scientist, mechanic, director, medic...) and dorm, with personal/work laptop, folders and photos for his work, where you can put, write or do anything you want in them.

Note that you wont actually play as that person, but all your work will be placed in the said map, you will be listed as contributor (Somewhere in a super secret location/easter egg on that map), and you can have something referenced. (Your real name under each research report, your dog name scrambled on the wall, your nickname, a pack of anti-depressants under your bed, customized laptop icon in your dorm, what ever you wish, as long is it is appropriate).

Laptops you say?
Ye, each laptop can store programs and tons of text files or pictures, which are all intractable and are stored in the laptop's hard drive. You can make super looking research reports with attached pictures and other stuff this way.

Why all this?
Because I suck at this part, and I want to make the map look even sexier!
Don't you like SCIENCE!!? Don't you wish to crack that password to see what Allan McAsshole is emailing to Donna McSlut? To see what kind of sick experiments are being performed in here? To copy data from RD's laptops for the liason to destroy?

How can I contribute?
Sorry, but you cannot contribute at this moment! We have more than enough contributors to finish this project! Thank you all for helping :)

Those who contribute will also get screenshots of their workplace, dig site, or anything related to their jobs to help them get in character. Maybe even a full map tour, who knows?

If you have any questions, feel free to ask here or PM me.

Although I am rather new, I would love to contribute to the community. Therefore, I would like to be a part of this, if possible. Also, if we want to contribute, how do we go about doing that?

Doctor Alex Graves is interested in this... However, if I may offer a suggestion. Why not set up a Skype Group where we can give ideas/information to each other?

I am well known for creating bad stories/information.

As I said, I'm not sure if this will even pass. This is merely a thread to see if anyone is interested. Once we get enough people, I will set up a skype group, google drive and anything else that will help us to make things easier.

I will reply in this thread when we get enough people to move to the next step.

Would it be alright if I get started on writing? For the character itself that is.

Sure, you can throw in a concept so others can see what this is up to. All of you will be able to choose what to write when we get to that part

So would the textbooks be like flavor essays detailing how-to's about living in cold climates, ecology, etc.?

Subscribing to this topic. I really do want to know the details however, I prefer to be given something to write about. I think it would be a great idea if we start joining the group right NOW, so that, we can move preemptive.
...Eh, I'll write a dossier blog of my 'new character' on the notepad and send it to you later, Infernus.

What - Ever - You - Wish

You have complete freedom in this project, as long as it stays RP-ish and makes sense SS-13/CM wise.

"So would the textbooks be like flavor essays detailing how-to's about living in cold climates, ecology, etc.?"
Absolutely perfect.

You can even put a custom guide on how to survive with idiots on the icy planet, how to share the last tuna can when lost in the snowy blizzard with someone, anything you want.

I'll see tomorrow. It is late right now. I'm glad that so many people are interested and responded in such short time. :P

I'd be interested in writing the engineering section. I enjoy creative writing.
Lennox Clarke- Corporate Asshole or Duty-bound Officer depending on the role.
Manley Maclagan- hot shot pilot, spec, or grunt.

If you want me to Infernus I will produce Central Command Updates and Corporate Liason documents if we are taking this in that direction.

Could call it Lethe and give it a LV designation to echo the name of LV-426?

I'd totally participate and donate a few years of writing to this project if you donate a little bit of the theme basis in text. I can probably shit out some fluff to help to key in that immersion.
