Your Favourite Loadouts
Describe and/or list your best/most interesting load outs when you play as a marine of any type.
Personally I like to fill my bag with 7 revolvers, carry an eighth on my armour and a another in a holster if possible. I then fill my belt with speedloaders and only reload outside of combat, if inside of combat I just throw my empty guns away and pull out another. I honestly have most success with this load out because being disarmed basically means nothing.

M41A.
Service pistol.
Three magazines for each.
3-6 flares.
If the RO isn't a dick, foregrip and red dot sight.
Why do you need anything else? Shotgun is trash, SMG is trash by comparison, specialist weapons are... well, specialist only. Revolver can't fit in a belt, which is ridiculous by the way. Best setup bar none.

Re: Your Favourite Loadouts
kek, ok, time to spoil it.
Marine Standard goes as the following.
-Belt contains 7 clips of 10MM
-Back and Suit storage both contain a M41A
-Inside Marine armor contains 2 tricords auto-injectors
-Boot contains knife
-Both pockets contain 10MM
-Attachments are 2 Sight dots
This is just my standard assault class, ton more other loadouts depending on situation.

You should have no need for more than one primary, one secondary, one knife, and the optional shotgun.

Re: Your Favourite Loadouts
If anyone is wondering why non-checkerboard (typically open, mass nests) nests are a tactical disaster, consider loadouts where marines have 7 magnums or multiple rifles.
Imagine you're a spitter, guarding a two marines with those loadouts and nades in a 2x2 nest. Suddenly one is buckle immune, they're both shooting down the walls fully equipped despite being disarmed once already.
Now imagine one is a specialist with a SADAR on his back.
What's going to happen if that xeno fails to stop hosts that have already been disarmed, hugged, transported to the hive and put in pre-built holding cells? They're going to try to find and destroy the egg room, and destroy all the SSD larva. If other marines are there, they'll get un-nested.
If the queen tries to solo defend, there's a good chance she'll die. Unrobust queens in open spaces aren't hard to kill 1v1.
When you consider how many times a marine squad has had half or the entire thing captured, having nests that are "fair" to escape has a good chance to permanently cripple the xeno team due to unrealistic loadouts that are indifferent to being disarmed the first time.
Now, specifically checkerboard designs are always talked about, but the real thing that pisses off marine players is not having a chance to escape. When marines escape with those loadouts vs just a service pistol, it's a disaster. Most marines don't try to escape the hive, just to cause as much damage as possible and then suicide.
To get back on topic, when I go marine I usually go similar to Sky's loadout.

Re: Your Favourite Loadouts
You guys don't put much time into your loadouts huh?
Boots - Knife
Armor - M41A with rail light and bayonet
Belt - 8 clips of M41A
Backpack - 7 magnums with rail lights and bayonets
Pockets - 2 marine knives
Armor - 2 marine knives
Hands - M41A with RDS and bayonet
This way you roll out with 5 knives and 9 guns, with every gun also being a knife as well so useful in CQC and when no ammo left

Why the rail light tho? Also, I thought you could not attach things to the revolver.WyattH wrote:You guys don't put much time into your loadouts huh?

You can attach stuff to revolver, also in the grimdark future of alien jungles you can never have too many lights on you. This way every gun is a flashlight and a knife even when it runs outta ammo~Floorface wrote: Why the rail light tho? Also, I thought you could not attach things to the revolver.

Re: Your Favourite Loadouts
Personally I've been taking what is most likely an extremely unpopular loadout, but that's because I'm a medic, and I barely shoot things anyway (at least in my limited experience). 99% cool factor.
- Shotgun with a box of shells
- Revolver with a couple speed loaders
- Combat life saver kit on the belt
- Combat knife
- Health scanner in a pocket because it's not in the combat lifesaver kit for some reason
- Turned on flashlight in the pocket for dat light
- Couple flares when I actually remember
- Determination

Hmm if I play as medic, I hardly have any space for other stuff other than medical supplies. In terms of firepower, I only have 2 M41A Rifles and 3 magazines in my webbing, and the boot knife

Re: Your Favourite Loadouts
As an engineer, I stock up on an SM with 5 mags in a vest if I can get it, and a knife in my boots. I don't have room for a sidearm due to the sheer amount of shit I carry. SMG has a rail light and a bayonet, bypassing the need for me to circlejerk while waiting in line at Requisitions.

He's probably carrying one around on suit storage and the other in hand. Backpack is basically required for a competent medic.

Body: Uniform with Brown Webbing vest
Webbing Vest: HE Grenade, one C4, Coil and welder, orbital.
Hands: Squad Gloves
Exo Suit: B12 Armour
Exo Suit Storage: 12g, m4 mag
Exo Suit Strap: Shotgun, pumped so I can allow one more shell, (Grip, red dot and bayonet).
Feet: Boots with Knife.
Waist: Belt: One M4A3 Pistol (Quickfire), one 44. Speed loader, a box of 12g, three M4 mags.
Backpack: 3 Squad beacons, flamethrower with one tank, medkit and Revolver.
Pockets: Dromedaries and Ace of spades. (Can be switched for useful items like mags or grenades at any time).
Hands (Active): M41A (Bipod, Charger, Quickfire), Fire axe.
There, Let's see.
-Armour.
-All Important SL gear.
-"Fluff" Gear.
-Explosives.
-Fixing tools.
-M41A, M4A3, M37, Flamethrower, 44., Knife, Fire Axe.
-3 (5) M41A mags + 30 bullets in weapon, 2 (4) 12g shotgun boxes (24 shells) + 8 Shells in weapon.
The ammount of attachments is excessive, I'd obviously only get the ones in the M4, but this is my best case scenario loadout.
