Perhaps we could just simulate there being another ship with the Sulaco being bombed randomly (by admins) and pirates being spawned in to board. MTs certainly wouldn't get bored. Although..perhaps there should be a grace period before bombs actually breach the ship, or make it so that MTs have to constantly do something or else the next bombing will breach.
Gonna make a note of this one, because it is quite plausible with a couple mins and mods on, and we wouldn't need a second ship to generate lag.

isn't the halo server supposed to have ship vs ship or station combat on its core?

I would like to just see a Iron Bears vs Marines round. Iron Bears are holding the outpost and the USCM comes to evict them.

The last two posts brings up an interesting idea.

Ship vs Ship. Iron Bear Ship vs Marine ship. You have to go down to the planet and then capture the enemy's FOB for their transport. Reinforcements come via shuttles and cyro spawning. Each side has their own command staff and doctors.

It doesn't even need to be ships for the Iron Bears. They could have just taken the WY colony or moved in on the distress signal and the marines and them get in a firefight.

i cannot state how much i would absolutely love this. Doubt it would ever happen however. Shame.

No. The marines need to start listening and caring about other people rather than running off on their own. Pay attention to the chain of command and listen to what your CO/SL tell you.

I suppose it's more of a map than an event, but if we had something based off the Auriga from Alien Resurrection with the marines and aliens on the same ship. The aliens could start in containment but break out fairly easily (no camping science without acid being placed being an obvious rule) and survivors could be the smugglers, genetic experiments (like Ripley) or people being fed to aliens (with the chance to escape).

Unlike the film, the marines would initially be ordered to try to contain the outbreak. If ordered to evac, they'd need to prioritise the science staff. Finally, the escape shuttles would launch at different times so the number defending the evac would be reduced with time.

The survivors would have to also escape, but via the Betty. They would have the option to be hostile to the marines if they want. Perhaps the marines would not let them leave until the marines are also evacuating.

I suppose the CL would instead be a government representative.

Your thoughts?

Probably not going to happen ever, but I'd like to run a server that follows the Quake 2/Quake 4/Enemy Territory; Quake Wars storyline, where the GDF engages the Strogg. You start on Earth before pushing them all the way back to Stroggos. I've got a lot of work to do on that project.

And also i'd like to have an Event of a Traitor survivor who is opposing W-Y. He was responsible for the breakout of the alien huggers and ended up in a locker.
One of the Members of the outbreak knew his plans and sent a distress beacon and the Traitor couldn't stop it but he killed the Survivor.
Now his mission is Ensure the capture of the CL (Optional mission: Capturing the CO and/or killing the command staff but the CO[CO must be captured]) and his safety until he can evacuate from the Planet. IF, by any chance the the survivor was down. The company is going to send DeathSquad and turn the stealth mission into an Assault mission.

EDIT: He mustn't kill marines unless he is surrounded (This is a stealth mission after all, just because some people would abuse this traitor power for grief)

This could be quite cool if run alongside a normal round. It would be interesting to see if the marines would somehow be able to still win despite their commanders getting wiped out. Perhaps they'd be able to call for reinforcements instead of a distress beacon if they get into the bridge?

The great escape

Everyone has to escape a crashed Sulaco from the Alens all around them

There is rubble, nature, and another building because the Sulaco crashes straight into a W-Y research facility with upgraded xenos on a sand planet

You must escape the Sulaco to head into the flaming research center, and then escape to a marine evac ship

After watching AvP Requiem, I've decided that could be quite cool. Aside from the police and national guard ert, humans would have no armour and would have random weapons but aliens would start with a lot less.

The human primary objective would be to wipe out the aliens before the military decides to nuke them (which would only be possible once the National Guard ERT has been wiped out). When the military sends announces an evacuation (in reality a nuke), the human objective would be to get to the evacuation (maybe this would be cars at the edge of the map on roads).

Also, predator rounds would have the objective of wiping out traces and witnesses of the xenomorphs.

Would need a Predalien for the Xenos to stand a chance on predator rounds.

I'd like a round where instead of xenomorphs, we fought Warhammer 40k ORCS!

I believe it could work, since Orcs respawn via spores, so instead of needing hosts, all they need to do is shit out a bunch of nodes and there will be plenty of orcs to shoot at! And of course, you can't forget to give them the orcs their own daka too..

It would be one epic war if you ask me, marines fighting greenskins, bullets flying everywhere, the air filled with WWWWAAAAGGGHHs and DAKA DAKA DAKA!

If I could make my own server, it would totally be like that.
