I was gonna make a poll for this but I now realize I can't, but whatever.

I'm curious, do you play only marines, marines then alien after you die, or only aliens?

This will probably somewhat aid the unending balance discussions with a little bit of data.
I will try to keep this updated with people's answers.

Marine only: 14

Marine then alien: 12

Alien only: 4

Marine and rarely alien. Alien just feels dirty to me. You can do alot of harm to marines in a short time by yourself.

Mostly marines, though occasionally i'll pick aliens since I like variety. If I die i'll just go into another window until I hear RAHR HAHR

I play marines most of the times because for me, alien mode is easy mode, you can win the round by yourself. When i die i play alien to end the round quickly.

Marines all the way.Its just a lot more fun to play even though I'm rubbish at it.I've played xeno some times(mostly pre alpha) and hated it.Hell most of the time hivemind is like LOOC for marines.so yeah.Purely marine

Marine, then Alien, because Marine suck that previous rounds. Alien then stalking ghost. Stalking ghost, because literally Marine and Alien are camping. Then after that play Marine, die, and ghost.
Cycle of Alien and Marine, and it vary.
I've to confront many people via chat on the server that this "ALIEN/MARINE are OP". Well, the hell is your gun even for?
I've met Alien who do the same, both Marine and Alien are stronger in group and number.

Conclusion: Balancing is problematic when you try to bring new content to the game. And I've met both good bad, and average player in game already.

MY STANCE: Neutral, because this is a s**t show some time. Some time enjoyable too.

Actually I don't hate the thought of playing alien, I just enjoy medical roles way too much. Weed spam just doesn't feel fulfilling enough.

^ No idea how it's acceptable for staff to play while "on duty". Maybe when theres others there to take over for you but not otherwise.

Marine only. Once in a blue moon when I'm bored and want to murder things/end the round quickly I'll go alien.

Why? Xenos are boring to play. You can take out an entire squad alone. And the RP is shet.

Marine, and sometimes aliens when I die. I can't really play alien for a long period of time, because the lack of RP and simpler mechanics (not having to manage an entire inventory of ammo and shit, not having to constantly follow my squad around, etc.) makes me zone out and do dumb shit like walk into mines in plain sight or sit in the hive for 40 minutes.

Alium main, Marines sometimes. Playing as marine is usually supra fun when action happens, but it's a bit too slow for me otherwise.
