Commander is bald
Fight at the ro line ending in stabbing
Co gives us specific orders to build fob at t-comms, spend 40 mins building it single-handed, only to find out that 3/4 of the marines had decided to build the base at nexus (without being ordered to)
Supply drops were sent to nexus, nexus overrun, all supplies lost
T-comms receives nexus refugees
Attempt to defend t-comms with 4 mines, 1 sentry, find out all the mines and sentries got abandoned in the nexus
Xenos overrun t-comms, kill everyone except the co, who fled on the pod alone while xenos were starting to attack
Xenos overrun sulaco, kill everyone, rip.

I remember one round, we took note how the ayyys would avoid floor tiles with mines under them. So we filled the open area north of T-Comms with floor tiles, with about just under half of them with mines underneath. It was pretty fun to watch.

Something mildly amusing I noticed in a recent round.

When you are an SL who begs for help after getting careless, your marines will more often than not probably mock you for stupidity, with little drive to recover you unless ordered to.

When you are an SL that tells your men to abandon you and focus on the objective, fully aware of your stupid mistake of getting caught and not wanting more to suffer the same fate to save one man, all of a sudden your squad is saddened by the loss and thus driven to try and save you even more.

This happened in a recent round I had where I was an SL that went full retard with a baseball bat in an attempt to save another marine being attacked. There was little hope for my recovery, with an alien camping my nest.. And yet, despite my protests and orders to not attempt to save me and hold the line, they did it anyways.

.. Then again, it probably was because I was an above average Squad leader, so that probably was a factor despite my habit to do stupid things. Still flattering though.
