Yes, this round was amazingly strange and incredibly fun. I was Bravo's GL spec, we killed two queens on the ground and got a bioscan of 30 aliens still alive. Command somehow got centcomm to approve pizza for us, and proceeded to taunt us the rest of the fucking round with pizza we wouldn't see till the op was over. before aliens even stole the shuttle someone called Evac and 27 marines evacuated from the Almayer, leaving about twelve of us (if that) to deal with the alien threat.

We hunkered down in SD room and fought with every round, fist, grenade, baldie we could lay our hands on and due to PMC reinforcements, we not only beat back the ayys but SD'd. I think we could have cleared the aliens out by the end though honestly.

Ravager snuck aboard the Alamo so I headed down to the hangar as the CO to help kill it, Alamo arrived and there were like 6 delimbed marines aboard it, I see the rav charge another marine and run up to it, point blank shot it 4 times with the mateba, put it in crit and gib it with a final shot. 11/10. Hostile Nuetralized.

During my MP round I was on a regular patrol of upper deck and I noticed some open doors in engineering and decided to poke my head in. I walked into a locker room and noticed it was empty but the door was open so I decided to check the lockers and ended up face to face with a predator. I tried to play it off like I was crazy but trying to comprehend what I saw and not just regular hostile panic. Eventually CO showed up and killed it with his Metaba and I joined in with my baton.

In case you were wondering, earlier with my translator, I said "Nothing to see here" before cloaking and hoping you assumed I was gone. It was worth a shot, at least... better than having to attempt to slaughter the entire ship and then some.

The moment marines hear a predator is on the ship, everyone and their mother comes in for a slice of the pie, like a pack of rabid animals looking for an easy meal... It is fuckin scary how fast they are willing to mob you.

I had no clue how to handle that. I didn't want to just attack you and I didn't want to cry predator and have people murder you and risk blowing the ship. I think I was going to walk off if that MT didn't show up. I also had fun throwing the coffee cup at you while pretending you just casually discard it. I expected you to run out when the MT and I left the room, instead you closed the lockers and fueled my paranoia.

You aren't kidding the CO really took heed of the description I gave over the radio even though I tried to down play it. I also had no clue he was going to come flying in like that. I was just trying to get another MP in there to call me crazy and leave you be.

He wakes up, bonks the window with his SADAR, complains about the speed of the line. Rain tells him to simmer, we have fresh peeps, we'll get him.

Cue a spate of insults.

And then apparently he cryo'd, even though Rain didn't get him in trouble for insults (I figure being RO, she's probably used to being hollered at).

Some people are oddly spiteful like that...

If they don't get their way, they either cyro, commit suicide, or generally just ignore their squad because they don't like what they are doing. I seen that quite a bit in my time, in fact...

I think just yesterday we had a CMO go to cyro because the commanding officer said that Peri wouldn't be distributed. And then there was that time when Alpha had a sniper that refused to deploy all round because he didn't get the attachments he wanted, leaving his squad to die when they needed him most.

The people here, they can be quiet selfish sometimes...

Just had a round where I got to be crusher, we landed on the Almayer and a hyperzined up Doctor sprinted at mach 5 into my head while I was charging, breaking every bone in his body.

I have a couple of stories
Story 1:
I'm a survivor, I'm in power ... sitting in a locker ... quietly ... flashlight turned off ...

A xeno comes in, as I hear the door being forced open and i'm like ....... ooooooooooooh shiiiit

The hunter comes up to my locker, and opens it, the EXACT one i'm in, FIRST TRY on the lockers ... and you know what they said in LOOC?

"uuuuuh I was testing a bug ... what?"

so we both start laughing, I KNOW I'M FUCKED, so I pull out my double barreled shotty, (my light's on now, because I'M like "fuck it") and I see another like THREE xenos pop around 2 above and 1 below, ALL HUNTERS DUDE, so I panic, I fire at the xeno that opened my locker, INSTA-criting him and he dies in the next like TWO seconds, probably because he was 2 meters away.

I spin around and fire the second shot at the hunter below, AS he pounces me, so HE get's insta-GIBBED, I then proceed to run around for about ... mmmm a good 10 minutes before they incapacitate me, I almost killed another, then I finally exhaust all options, and I get dragged or devoured or whatever, and then I hear the DS at LZ1

Story 2:
I'm a researcher and the aliens have boarded the almayer, and they are in the upper deck with me, and i'm going to the SD, so I turn around, swallow a hyperzine pill, and just fuckin' go FULL RAMBO MODE, and fuckin' run up and insta-GIB a mature hunter, and keep doing this attack and retreat guerilla warfare style, type fighting, I probably got around 2-3 kills.

Story 3:
I'm a researcher again (though with no gun) and i'm alone, in the SD, all defenses have failed, and I have no gun, the other xenos are on their way, so it's JUST me and a mature boiler, and a mature hunter ...

I proceed to run around and DODGE THE SHIT out of the hunter for FIVE ... MINUTES, before the boiler uses gas in the middle of the room, limiting my run space, and the hunter pounces me, aaand you know what happened next.

Story 4:
Happened today actually
*xenos crash into ship*
*fends off for a VERY long time against the xenos with my M4RA battle rifle*
*atmos fails, not deadly enough to kill, but enough to close the shutters behind me*
*i'm stuck SHOUTING at SOMEONE to open the damn shutters because apparently a SIMPLE MARINE doesn't have access to do so*
*boiler launches gas at our POS, which is only about 3x3*
