No, just go to the room where the pipes all lead to: disposals. When you ride disposals, you don't even see what's inside the pipes. You can also click on a disposals bin and press the eject button to see if ITEMS are being hidden inside of them.

Would one point blank Mataba shot to the head kill a human, I always see commanders emptying the entire cylinder, and that feels kinda overkill.

Potentially if it decaps, but the stun is the biggest selling point for it. Basically shooting shotgun slugs, though you have to fire a fair amount because it has poor accuracy for it.

Mateba to the head has decent decap chance, only way to reliably one shot people. You usually need 3-4 hits to kill someone (assuming all shots hit).

If possible, Buckle-cuff and remove helmet. Usually decaps in one shot.

Re: >> QUICK QUESTIONS THREAD <<
The reason I ask this is because it would be much more cinematic for an execution to be done in one shot, but sometimes I see commanders emptying their metaba just to make sure no one can revive them. It just feels much more brutal than it should be at times. Is a single point blank to the head enough to knock someone unconscious? Does it break their skull? Would someone being executed still be able to curse the CO despite the bullet wound to their head?

Re: >> QUICK QUESTIONS THREAD <<
A single shot to the head will break your skull 100% and probably do cosiderable brai damage. It may not knock you unconcious so you can still talk after the first shot. The second one will 100% knock you and the third one is just to make the death faster.Sulaboy wrote: ↑18 Apr 2018, 17:28The reason I ask this is because it would be much more cinematic for an execution to be done in one shot, but sometimes I see commanders emptying their metaba just to make sure no one can revive them. Although I think a single untreated Mateba shot in the head will probably kill you after some time. Faster if a single shot hits the groin and the target moves without the woumd getting splinted.

Matebas very rarely decapitate and often require at the very least 3 shots to critical/kill.

Britain Brexited and made the Three World Empire with Japan and those other islands and shit.
East Euro, from like Poland and east into Russia, might be part of a new Soviet comie block that may or may not have been absorbed into the UPP in our lore after we removed the iron bears. Depends on if we take the William Gibson Alien 3 script into account in our lore. If we do then they're all UPP from poland to china to Vietnam.

There's a sort of mournful or at least atmospheric song that tends to play randomly on the planetside for various maps as a form of ambience, presumably like the other noises but it goes on for a minute or so. Any idea what it could be? It tends to play on the ice colony quite a bit, I've noticed.
I play Arella Aharon, usually as a medic, MP, or occasionally, researcher or marine.

Thank you both, for some low-qualtiy synthesized music, I for some reason like this quite a bit.
Especially in this one round, where I was a researcher who landed with the CL right as evacuation began, so all the marines piled into the Alamo and I was too busy treating people to hold the CL's pictures, and the music began when the Alamo was being pushed in by the Aliens, before it was remotely launched, and like 6 people including the CL were gibbed when the Alamo bug was in full spring, and a number of marines were left behind.
Anyway, I digress. Thank you!

What is the benefit of putting other characters in cryo sleep? Does it free up that job slot for other people to take? Or is it just for cleanup and not giving xenos easy hosts to infect?

It frees up a slot for other people to take. Also it moves their stuff into cryo storage, which also lets their replacement take their stuff more easily

Do non-combat characters have problems wielding weapons in two hands? I've tried using a shotgun as an MP and a rifle as a RO and whenever I tried holding them in two hands I ended up unloading ammo instead.
What are riot shields good for? What weapon should they be combo'd with, if any?
