On Big Red, how can xenos try to sabotage the power? It seems once the generator is fixed it will go on indefinitely, so the Marines can safely fall back to LZ1 and not worry about losing power to tcomms. Is there a way to sabotage that?

You can't sabotage the power directly, but if you slash and destroy the APCs of any room, the equipment of this room and it's power will go down.

Taking marine out off nest just before he can try to break free is meta/powergaming?
I had a round today that one spitter with a watch in hand counted time from my "Is trying to break free" to "Resist once more" that he literally came to me few seconds before timer, take out off nest, spit and glued back. Several times.

(Who I'm trying to fool? Myself? Ofcourse Xenos can't meta, becouse they are omniscient but I want to be sure)

Nope, not punished whatsoever. I've done it myself multiple times, nothing. It's just a dick move that you can't do anything against it, because they basically control whether you can break out or not, not you.

Nah. We all know nothing is meta/powergaming if you are xeno. Well... I don't have anything better to do when I'm nested, then maybe. But I do know dick xeno behaviour is not against the rules. "Impregnated, dead and living marines have no rights" they say.

That issue was fixed by coding I believe.

You can only do that if they're not wired.
You do so by grabbing the body, upgrading the grab and then clicking on the barricade (I think ?)
You can also just throw the body over, but you still need the barricade to not be wired.

Elite/ancient hunters and ravagers as well as ancient runners can target the head.

No, ahelp it and explain you shot them by accident and they shot you back on purpose.

Them shooting you is griefing, but so is you killing them. Griefing a griefer is still grief.

Well. It continued after that. I was also a medic. And I went ahead and gave him 300u+ of Bicardinate and defibbed him about 20 times over. Vengeance is a bitch.

If they had ahelped and a mod had seen you removing them from the round with OD they'd definetly take issue with it. This kind of thing will get you jobbanned from medic, I understand why you did it and I can sympathize though. That player shouldn't have tried to kill you in the first place but you still shouldn't kill your own marines and you especially shouldn't deliberatly remove them from the round like that.

Next time, if someone shots you on purpose for any reason I would say move back from the fighting a bit, ahelp giving the players name and saying that they shot you on purpose, you'll probably get ahealed and they'll probably get a note and a warning (and if they've done the same thing many times even a ban).

Yeah, I knew what I should have done, but I obviously didn’t do it. (I did end up getting a 24 hour ban after I left the server) This was my first ban and I was just curious about what other players had thought about this. I didn’t want to bother making an appeal for a ban period that is so short. Thanks for the input man.

Try smart gunner (all you need to do is stay behind 1 other marine and shoot at the enemy) and form there maybe give spec (if you can roll it). If you liked medic doctor or researcher might be fun (researcher can perform surgery and is a good role for getting to know surgery because people won't expect too much from you).

Btw, have you already played all of the roles? In what order did you play yours?

I haven't played every role myself, some things like MP and CL or doctor don't interest me very much.
I went from PFC > enige > PO > SL. When it comes to trying non-combat roles I would say as long as you have the bare basics from playing PFC a few times down and you read through a guide/the wiki page for said role you can get 90% of the basics down and be able to play it. Every role takes practice to get things right but the main thing is you enjoy it.

If you have any particular questions about macros not covered in the guides I can try to answer them, I use quite a few myself.

1. Yes

2. No, CM has security features which detect attemps at multikeying and automatically prevent it (logging in with a differnet byond ID but from the same IP will be detected, for example), and VPNs/proxies are banned. Obviously people do try to ban evade but it's normally detected quickly and leads to any ban being upgraded to a perma ban. If you do ever get banned for more than 24 hours the best thing to do is make an appeal in the forums, which can lead to your ban being lifted if staff agree.
