So what got me hooked on SS13 was a round where I played as a botanist stoner, stoned out of my mind. A guy walked up and begged for help when suddenly a gravitational anomaly occured and stunned everyone. Then a giant freaking spider crawled up, grabbed him and disappeared. Then later the head botanist and I were about to evac when another anomaly hit and flattened us. A guy dressed as a clown and covered in blood walked in, grabbed the botanist and disappeared. Weird shit lol

Then for CM what really hooked me was the round where I was SL. But I've shared that one so I'll share a round that topped it for me (cause I was convinced it wouldn't get better). So first time playing specialist I roll sniper with a tricked out smg. I do some good work and land some kills while also suppressing the T3s trying to push into us. Soon it becomes clear that the Predators in the round are representing and kicking ass. One of them singles me out as a challenge. He steals my sniper rifle and tries to lure me away, but I get it back and pelt him with some ap smg rounds. He continues trying to fight me and we exchange blows, he lands a solid throwing spear, I land more smg rounds. Finally he gets cornered by marines and the marines call me over. I rush in guns blazing and we exchange again until I run out of ammo.
We then partake in a savage as fuck knife fight, exchanging stab wounds. Finally it gets to the point where I can't hold my knife anymore, so I throw it at him and land it square in his face, and follow up with every grenade in my bags. In the process I get crippled and blow myself up.

After that I was hooked on the Predators and decided I really wanted to try and apply for it when I can.

I'll say I started playing SS13 being a beta tester for V.O.R.E. Station and ended up visiting CM because of SASOperative (Who has since retired). Lately I've been playing CM more than V.O.R.E. because the latter just doesn't have action anymore. I remember what drew me into V.O.R.E. was some of the events and being a major player of those events, but the story lines have dried up. It's hard to explain. The only thing I really miss is being in an exosuit and fucking shit up.

Hm. I think, It was my first round back prior on infestation station. I just highly enjoyed the combat on the nostromo, and the tence actiony moments that came with. Trying yo patch up people bleeding out while on the verge of being over-run. I ended up joining CM, during the transition process between the two servers.

Way back when, A year or two ago. I saw CM and said, "Never played it, looks interesting". Now mind you, this was back when we had the Nostromo, back when aliens looked small, hivelords were pink.

And Logistics. Oh god.

Logistics was just the father of Requisitions. Anyway, I played as a marine first. The squad lead grabbed a motion tracker, I believe, and we docked. I really loved the vanilla aliens in SS13 so this was really awesome to me. We ended up back on the ship, and they dragged in a HMG, long story short, I think we fought them off. - And then I played alien, oh, oh, and then!

Anyway. I was hooked from the start.

I joined recently, and i decided to stay. Why?
Squad medic. All the cries for medic, and you see around ten wounded marines. Few got barely scratched, two in crit, one burning, and one without an arm. Suddenly one of scratched grunts collapses almost instantly going into third crit. It was big WTF moment because of how unusual it was compared to wound system on other servers. I swear, i never felt so pressed to be good, since i seen that if i mess up the order of help, at least half of them will not get the pleasure of fighting another day. And hell did i did it.

One thing that I appreciate about CM over all other servers is the guarantee of action. I'm not talking about violence, specifically, but the guarantee that no matter which role you choose, you will be swamped with work and have stuff to do for at least some of the round.

I never really had an answer to this question, even though I've been around since good old nostromo.

But then I played an alien round as the first queen. I led an amazing brood to victory, and eventually evolved far enough to become an Ancient Empress, having not died once, I gainted a reputation for being immortal, and made marines shit their pants when they saw me.
And I felt like I was a God(dess)

It was truly amazing.

Ive been playing SS13 for around 6 years, What really got me 'into' CM was the round where I had been playing for a while and basically the queen called the rasp down after we had loaded it with a few good men and 4 sentry turrets, And we held the fucking rasp until we could dustoff, We arrived back at the ship, marines pushed welding fuel tanks in and raised their UGLs, only to realize we had held against the entire hive and come back alive...

Then they sent us down again, AND WE DID IT AGAIN.

I used to play Yogstation all the time as sec officer Cortez O'Connor. I complained about the fact that xeno rounds were banned, and someone pointed me here. This was back in pre-Alpha, so naturally I had no fucking clue what was going on. I eventually got myself assigned as a standard at the LO and ran headfirst into the Nostromo with a SAW.

I wasn't really sold on the long setup times at this point. But the RP and the skill of the senior players really won me over quickly, as well as the amazing last stands on that map. I've stuck around to build and develop my character and enjoy the RP. Gibbing space lizards is cool too

I got hooked in CM just for the fact that every round is completely random, i started playing in the Nostromo and those days were good, there was a cool round were the queen was killing everyone and i just blasted the windows and everyone got to space, but in an act of bravery i faced the queen ON SPACE and killed her with a final blow...throwing my pistol at her.

Overall you can see that CM is evolving pretty nicely, we got an amazing team of developers that work very hard for us and i just thank them all for having the patience and time to do this all for us.

Tbh I accidentally clicked on it and enjoyed a few round, thought it was gimicky with the greysuits but got used to it. Kinda kept playing after that.
