Have you ever been banned for more than 24 hours on Colonial Marines? Not that i remember

Have you ever been banned for more than 24 hours on ANY server? If so, which server, when, and what for? Yes, for reasons i dont know and servers i cant remember, but years ago.

Are you familiar with the chat program Slack (its use is required)? Apart from looking on its website not familiar with anything about it but im not a tech illiterate.

Common Staff Situations:
Write a description of what you would do in each of the following situations. Do not write on the same line as the situation - use the space below it or make space as needed. Failure to do this proves your inability to follow instructions and your application will be automatically denied.

1. A player randomly shoots someone at round start and MPs have detained him.
Pm the player in question to ask about the situation, if it was a accident with no serious harm to other player and no warnings let them go with/without warning. Pin the incident to their notes.



2. The ship has a breach to space and a bunch of players have died or are dying as a result.
Check if the breach was intentional or not, contact a admin who can deal with it on Slack/discord, try to manage situation as best as possible. (not too sure if trials can rev or spawn walls)


3. You see a player walking around the ship naked and clearly lost.
Pm them to ask if they are lost and give them directions to the starter room, or PM a MP to do it if available.


4. A player is being very rude to you in Adminhelps and requesting to speak to an Admin+ staff member.
Warn them about the rules and forward the request to a admin+ if appropriate, if they continue to be rude give them a official warning and pin it to their logs. IF they continue and no admin has taken over, kick them. Also would direct them to the forums to complain if they aren't happy with my performance etc.

5. You notice a player with a name that doesn't fit our naming rules. The player is arguing that: They've used the name for several years, no one has told them to change it before, and that they didn't know it was a rule.

Inform them it is a rule, check their logs and tell them to change it for next game or get a admin with powers to change their name to the rule standards. Pin the name change request to their logs so its enforced. Direct to forums complaint if they have a issue with the ruling.

6. You see a Maintenance Tech running around in armor and carrying a rifle. The security level is green with no threat present.
Check their logs to see if they have any grief notes and continue to watch them as i PM a MP (if available) to deal with it. If no MP is available or they have grief notes, Pm them to inform them of the RP rules and give them a official warning if they continue and a kick if they further continue.

7. You see a Squad Medic performing surgery on the planet. He claims it was because there were no doctors in the FOB.
Inform them of the rules in question, check their logs to see if anything else like that has happened, give them a warning if they have done it more than once in the session. Opt to kick/ minor temp ban pending severity or if they have outstanding warnings.

8. The round is stagnating. There are 30 marines and 4 aliens. The marines won't leave the ship, and the aliens won't attack. What would you do, to "encourage" the sides to engage each other?

Pose as higher command to order the acting CO to attack the planet, maybe claim a scan has revealed the Xenos are low in number/in this section of the planet. If that fails to work, force the marines down to the planet or force the xenos onto the ship using admin powers or "bombard" the planet using IC artillery to kill he xenos.

9. The round ends, a MARINE starts shooting a hostile CLF member and the CLF member Adminhelps complaining he was killed after the round ended.
Investigate the situation to check if there wasn't any RP breach if the marines and CLF had a cease fire for some reason etc, if there is none inform them that EORG doesn't apply to antags. Hand out punishment if there was a IC agreement and it broke RP. (ergo if the CLF started attacking people they had a alliance with it would be EORG)

10. A marine is running around disarming, punching and stealing gear at round start.
Instantly ban/kick them and pin it to their logs, if they have multiple bans/kicks for this issue inform a higher admin for action. This is providing they dont give sufficient time to PM.


11. A marine has killed another marine. When you ask him why, he said it was because the other marine had punched him.
Tell them its agaisnt the rules, check if they have any warnings, ban them for a day or two for grief.

12. An issue arises that requires Admin+ abilities.
ask for the admin via Slack and try to manage the situation as best as possible.

13. There are minor racist comments going on IC. 9 of the 10 people are laughing and RPing but one player gets offended and Adminhelps about it.
Tell the person it does not breach rules and they can submit the appropriate complaints/reports if they disagree with the situation.

14. A marine opens fire at round start in briefing killing multiple marines and instantly logs off.
Pin it to logs seek a perma ban through a higher staff member.

15. You see a player playing a xeno larva/chestburster run towards the frontlines and die.
Pm them to ask what they were doing, check their notes, let them off with either a officially or unofficial warning pending the reason they ran.

16. You see a xeno memeing, saying AYYLMAO, REEEEEE etc in hivemind chat.
Pm them to ask them to tone down the memes and pin a warning to their notes. if they continue kick them.

17. A xeno player calls the shuttle a "dropship". A different xeno player complains to you that it's metagaming/failRP to call it a "dropship".
Inform them its not breach of RP and they can file the relevant complaint/report if they disagree.

18. A Command staff player at briefing near round-start mentions there are aliens on the planet.
Pm them about it to check if it was a accident and what specifically they are referring to, if they are referring to the Xenos, warn them about fail RP and put it in the notes.

19. A Marine kills another Marine on the EVAC Pod to take the last spot and claims it was RP as he was saving himself.
check their logs to see if there was any leading dialog, check to see if there was a active threat in the vicinity or a reason why both couldn't go on the shuttle, if none present warn them for breach of RP and pin on notes, ask a higher up for opinions.

20. You see a fellow staff member give wrong information in an Adminhelp or incorrectly enforcing a rule.
Ask a higher up via slack about it or file a report via forums.

20a. You see a fellow staff member abusing his powers in-game.
Report him to a higher staff member. Try to mitigate the issue as much as possible without being culled.

21. You see a player talking in OOC chat about what he did with your mom last night.
destroy him Do nothing unless it becomes a harassment issue then proceed the same way as any other case.

Any additional information you'd like to add? I used the word logs and notes kind of interchangeably. Also i assumed/you should assume i will follow the protocol, its just tedious to repeat it each time. i will need to get into the habit of using slack though.

Before I address a single answer you've put down I have to first ask the question. So how old are you? Because I'm 10+ but that doesn't really tell you how old I am. It raises a very big red flag for me that you dont list your actual age and that you went from 18 to 16 to 18 on two different apps. There is nothing wrong with being 16. We have folks on staff who are that old, more than one if I remember correctly. But when it changes like that it seems like you are trying to hide something from us.

Here's the thing. Sometimes as a staff member you will run into a player with too much time on their hands who is such a shitler that they will use anything against you, and hiding your information makes it easier for them. There was a player who posted an IRL pic of me in a different discord calling me pathetic for being in my late 30s and playing 2d spaceman even though I'm in my early 20s.

We have had people with much more sensitive issues, such as transgenderism, who openly will post that on apps. I will not accept any application that hides information from me because it shows me that you're pretty much an easy target for shitlers.

I'm a little disappointed as your past app showed more effort overall, but regardless - you were once denied because of people complaining about your Discord behaviour. I'm not in it enough to know these days, but would you say you have improved in this regard?

3) Don't PM an MP asking them to help, They have enough on their plate. We have staff mentors for a reason.

6) This 100% an IC issue, that shouldn't require you to PM an MP. Even if they aren't griefing, use SM or get a mentor, if the MT looks oblivious. You shouldn't be kicking a player for this kind of IC conduct. If they grief, sure get involved. Otherwise, it's not something you should be getting into.

7) JobBan might be more appropriate here.

8) Mod's don't have event admin powers. Can you give an example of how you'd pretend to be USCM High Command? What about the Xeno's?

10) Instantly banning someone for round start shenanigans is very harsh. A first time offender, shouldn't be banned for this kind of action. You don't need to contact Admin+'s for a repeat offender, mods have the power to ban.
You wouldn't request a perma for this.

This report feels lacking. Your answers are either downright incorrect, too short or don't include the necessary information.
You've mentioned nothing on bantimes, and haven't demonstrated an adequate knowledge of the rules.
I could understand all this if this was your first App. But it's not! You've haven't taken the feedback given to you in the last app, and improved this one.

Your actions in discord also deeply concern me. I don't believe your Mature enough (Even if your age turns out to be 18+ which i don't exactly believe), for the role of mod

I would temp ban the person for a day and pin it to the logs. Also would then fix the breach. (not necessarily in that order)

Fair enough, i left it open. I wouldn't take action until they greifed.

Through either voices in in their head or a message if i could do it. The Xenos having the least amount of people would be the ones subject to getting killed. Example if the marines still dont go down after the commander has been dealt with, its more fitting to just kill the xenos with IC artillery or something to stop the round going on longer. (THEORETICALLY they are lower numbers and should loose any confrontation)

I would investigate after the person has stopped what they are doing, if they fail to respond to a PM or do it in rapid success a short temp ban or kick seems in order to stop a mass greif.

I would revive the dead players and ban the greifer and wait for a perma.

Just in case it was a accident, if its not pinned in some cases i would have no reason to think they suicided on purpose. (as per last app it was brought up it could have been a accident)

To elaborate on that further, all ready had my version of that done.(those mistakes wont happen again)

I'm going to deny this for now. I will say that your applications are improving. I would recommend looking over previous accepted applications some more and reapplying in the future.
