Any previous experience developing with SS13?
I was a developer for Aurora for about 9 months until I resigned in February due to time constraints which have been taken care of.

How well do you know Git?
The basics for opening a PR.
Your primary job is server development, not policing the server. You may be given Moderator-level of access but you should *not* be invoking any administrative actions unless there are no moderators or Admins online. Do you understand? (Yes/No)
Yes.
Anything else you'd like to add?
I go by Printer16 and Ron. On the Aurora forums and on discord it's Ron but everywhere else it's Printer16 because Ron was taken.

The contributions at that link are fairly good coding but are primarily bug fixes or tweaks, do you have any other examples of your work or qualifications or education?

Re: Printer16 - Coder Application
There are some features that I've worked on and never PRd after discussion with other developers or for some other reason. The biggest example is https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora ... 4499/files. It was an immense project with considerable work done that I scrapped after realizing that it had several inherent flaws with the persistence aspect of it and wouldn't work out in the long run. I have no formal education with coding.spookydonut wrote: ↑02 Jun 2018, 00:15The contributions at that link are fairly good coding but are primarily bug fixes or tweaks, do you have any other examples of your work or qualifications or education?

Re: Printer16 - Coder Application
We are a very active and close knit team, there's constant communication between everyone. This means a lot of compromising when it comes to differing opinions and the ability to take constructive criticism from fellow devs in stride.
If you are accepted, you will be expected to stay fairly active, and will have to go through a time where your MRs are heavily scrutinized down to a syntax level by myself and Phil until you get into the swing of things.
Is this amount of commitment something you're looking for? If so, why?

One of the main reasons I want to join the development team here is for the team aspect of it and part of that is accepting that there will be expectations and a certain time commitment needed, and by holding each member to the same high expectations a high preforming team is created where each member can share their ideas, get and give feedback, and work towards a common goal which is the type of team I'm looking to contribute to and believe CM has.Bmc777 wrote: ↑03 Jun 2018, 06:26We are a very active and close knit team, there's constant communication between everyone. (rule 2)
I remember seeing Printer around a fair bit over on Aurora, he and lohikar really did some fantastic things as far as the code goes, especially in optimization and QoL, and were very respectful any time I interacted with them.

Re: Printer16 - Coder Application
If you had the opportunity, what kind of features do you think you'd like to work on if you were added as a coder? From your experience playing the game, Is there anything in specific you'd like to take a look at or possibly add?
Do you have any personal goals you'd like to pursue if you joined the team? Is there anything you're hoping to gain, whether it be experience or simply enjoyment, by joining the development team?
What is your favourite kind of coding related thing to work on? Do you prefer to create new things, overhaul and balance existing ones, or focus primarily on bug fixes?
As Bmc mentioned above, we try to stay close as a sort of family-like team. Do you think you'd like to work on projects with other people, whether it be spriters or mappers or other coders, to create new features, or do you prefer to work alone?

I play Verena Knox, an extremely unlucky girl, among other characters.
