I am not sure about this, but its about 20-30 hours.

Yep, I was a staff member on one SS13 server for 6 months.

Eh, I play only on CM for like 3 months or so.

I received just one ban like this: jobban on MP/CMP.

Common Staff Situations:
Write a description of what you would do in each of the following situations. Do not write on the same line as the situation - use the space below it or make space as needed. Failure to do this proves your inability to follow instructions and your application will be automatically denied.

1. A player randomly shoots someone at round start and MPs have detained him.
I would PM all involved players to investigate this situation from different sides. There are 3 variants after this: 1)Missclick: Offender will receive a warning, victim will be healed by admins. 2)It was on purpose and involved players are dissatisfied: Offender will receive a ban depending on his previous rule violations. and some notes, victim will be healed. 3)It was on purpose, but all involved players are satisfied(including victim): Ill let them to continue this RP stuff, but players will be informed about the limitations of this.


2. The ship has a breach to space and a bunch of players have died or are dying as a result.
I would heal all victims and ask an Administrator to fix the breach.


3. You see a player walking around the ship naked and clearly lost.
I would tell a mentor to help him. If there are no mentors, I will help by myself/request some mentors in Slack.


4. A player is being very rude to you in Adminhelps and requesting to speak to an Admin+ staff member.
I would hand them up to a higher staff member(if they are not busy). If they are busy, I will wait for them and then hand this player up to the higher staff. I will also inform the staff member that the player is being rude.


5. You notice a player with a name that doesn't fit our naming rules. The player is arguing that: They've used the name for several years, no one has told them to change it before, and that they didn't know it was a rule.
I would tell them that no one has noticed this name doesnt fit the rules. I will ask him to change his name after the round. If he keeps arguing, I will give him a ban depending on his previous rule violations. Add notes.

6. You see a Maintenance Tech running around in armor and carrying a rifle. The security level is green with no threat present.
There are two variants here: 1)He is new to CM. I will give him a warning and ask a mentor to help him. 2)He is not new to CM. I will ask him to drop this unauthorized equipment. If he keeps arguing, I will give him a ban depending on his previous rule violations. Add notes.


7. You see a Squad Medic performing surgery on the planet. He claims it was because there were no doctors in the FOB.
I would PM him and tell that Squad Medics cant perform surgery. Then I will give him a warning/ban depending on previous rule violations. Add notes.


8. The round is stagnating. There are 30 marines and 4 aliens. The marines won't leave the ship, and the aliens won't attack. What would you do, to "encourage" the sides to engage each other?
I would write a message as High Command and order marines to push.



9. The round ends, a MARINE starts shooting a hostile CLF member and the CLF member Adminhelps complaining he was killed after the round ended.
I will tell the CLF player that its not against rules. EORG rule only applies in FF situations(UPP member killing UPP member, marine killing marine, etc).


10. A marine is running around disarming, punching and stealing gear at round start.
I would PM all involved players to investigate this situation from different sides. If there was no roleplay behind it, I would give a ban to this player depending on his previous rule violations.


11. A marine has killed another marine. When you ask him why, he said it was because the other marine had punched him.
I would inform the player that he wouldnt shoot someone IRL for punching them. Then I will give a warning/ban depending on previous rule violations and heal the victim. Add notes.


12. An issue arises that requires Admin+ abilities.
Check if there are any Administrators in game. Then ask for help or request one Administrator in Slack.



13. There are minor racist comments going on IC. 9 of the 10 people are laughing and RPing but one player gets offended and Adminhelps about it.
I would step in only if those comments are too offensive.



14. A marine opens fire at round start in briefing killing multiple marines and instantly logs off.
I would PM all involved players to investigate this situation from different sides.Then I will heal all victims and give a 7-day ban with the request of permaban.


15. You see a player playing a xeno larva/chestburster run towards the frontlines and die.
I would inform the player that his actions were against rules and give a warning/jobban depending on previous rule violations. Add notes.

16. You see a xeno memeing, saying AYYLMAO, REEEEEE etc in hivemind chat.
I will ask the player to stop and inform him that Xenomorph is a medium RP role and he can't write something like this In Character. Then I would give a warning/jobban depending on previous rule violations.


17. A xeno player calls the shuttle a "dropship". A different xeno player complains to you that it's metagaming/failRP to call it a "dropship".
I would PM the complainant and explain him that this is not against rules.


18. A Command staff player at briefing near round-start mentions there are aliens on the planet.
I would investigate the situation and ask the player about the source of such information. Then I would give a warning/jobban or let it be depending on the situation and previous rule violations. Add notes.


19. A Marine kills another Marine on the EVAC Pod to take the last spot and claims it was RP as he was saving himself.
Two variants here: 1)It was RPed properly. No intervention. 2)It wasnt PRed properly. Offender will receive a ban/warning depending on previous rule violations. Add notes.


20. You see a fellow staff member give wrong information in an Adminhelp or incorrectly enforcing a rule.
I will inform the Manager or Senior Moderator/Admnistrator about this and let them handle the situation from there.

All when I banned you for 3 hours for pulling a gun on a guy resisting arrest instead of tasing him under the guise of "I couldn't open my holster". That stemmed the discord ban from this comment:

I'd like to see you appeal all of your bans and then try again in the future. In my professional opinion, having you onboard would be waiting for a disaster at the moment. Prove that you've changed to me.

Welp, here we go.
Lets talk about those jobbans. One man bodyblocked me without ANY words and tried to punch me to death. I tried to pull off my lovely taser, but I wasn't able to open a belt rig. I was damaged already, so I had no other options excluding shooting from pistol. I didn't try to kill that guy(as I finally managed to open my rig and tried to cuff him, but got freezed by you). There was only one mistake from me: I offended you, and I am really sorry about this.

I think its okay unless the player is ignoring a high-priority duty like setting up an engine or orders from the Command Staff.

The attitude towards staff after dealing with you shows the sort of attitude we really don't need to deal with in a team.
I'll be giving this a -1 until a while later where you can actually prove you've moved beyond that attitude with good conduct on the server.

Freezing of apps doesn't exist, you either get your application denied or accepted and then you can apply again in 30 days. The most you can do is withdraw your application.

In all honesty, the outlook of this application isn't good at all since we've never accepted a mod with an active jobban IIRC, and I can't support it either. You should get your bans lifted and then try to appeal in around 2 months of not netting any notes and your chances will be higher.

Right, good job getting your bans lifted but due to them just being placed majority of your mod app and the lack-luster answers, this is going to be denied for the time being. I'd suggest taking the 30-day limit to think about how to improve the app. More details would help as your answers are rather short and don't provide much information to show us what you know.
