Your application is very bare bones. (And likely not to be accepted.)
We do want to know your approximate age if you can give that to us.
In my opnion you are quite vague with what you want to map.
Can you explain in a bit more detail what you want to do?
For example ribbonflex came to us with a map idea 100% thought out.
You already admit you are likely not the most skilled person. What trait of yours would balance this out?

Mostly free time and a willingness to learn. I've dabbled in texturing previously, but I thought I'd try my hand at mapping. There are only 5 maps (6 if you include the Almayer) currently, so I figured I'd like to help with expanding that number. Like I said, I've just started learning Dreammaker, so if I have to learn more before I am considered, I understand that.

I am unable to vote, nor did I intend to do so. Though, I’d like to point out that you must be 18 years or older to be apart of the dev team, and thus knowing your age is not so irrelevant. Not only that, but the dev team has nothing to base your skill off of, as the app is barebones and work supplied to show your skill is not here. If they could see something, even if it’s something small that you cook up today, That would help a lot for them making a decision.

I don’t think this has a shot at being accepted, but if they could see something, it would show you’re at least serious about this, and they could give you pointers to help for when you are able to reapply down the line.

Regardless, good luck and don’t take this to heart if it isn’t accepted. You seem like your hearts in the right place, and from what i’ve seen of you, you’re a decent person. Just this app is barebones and not likely to make it through at this rate.

I've got ideas for a map, I just haven't got it on paper yet, so to speak. I'll work on getting something concrete to look at. As for age, fair point. Age 27.

Before we required from anyone but coders to show proof of work done before we accepted anyone

Coders were given a test.

I doubt anything changed or will change.

Please do at least a paper sketch of the map you have in your head.

Well my initial idea was another ship. After a few HvH rounds I noticed that the CLF ship is barely put together, basically just enough to give a spawn point and some weapons. It got me thinking about ship design and layout. I thought it would be interesting to build a USCM medical ship that sends a distress signal. Survivors would be USCM personnel or doctors. The ship's design would largely revolve around a state of the art medical facility, complete with quarantine procedures and a proper MEDEVAC landing pad. Story-wise it could be similar to the Almayer after a Xeno win. A distress beacon was launched, and the Almayer responded.

As for CAS and MEDEVAC options, I thought since this is a medical ship and not a ship designed for combat, it could have windows and airlocks similar to prison station. Probably the rooms closest to the edge of the map would have glass "ceilings" so that you could MEDEVAC from the edge of the ship, but it would break out the window and engage the airlock, so you could only do it so many times before you have to drag them back to the proper LZ.

So far I've designed a medical bay, but I'm slowly expanding on the design.

I am going to deny this application for the following reasons.

1. No prior experience, privately or on another codebase.
2. Essentially zero forum activity, and an unfamiliar ckey.
3. The app generally lacks the level of interest and clarity of focus we're looking for.
