On average, how many hours are you available per week to moderate?

Fluctuating, but a great many is a good possibility.

Do you have any previous experience in being staff (not just SS13)?

Oh, quite the amount in extensive detail, to sum it up properly I would have to point out that I'm a previous host and community coordinator for several well off steam groups, a founder for some others, and most recently a collective host/admin/maintainer for custom built servers. It would be more fair to ask what haven't I been a staff member on.

Did you play any of the previous Colonial Marine servers?

I played an early version in which there were roughly 8 "pods" or sleepers that the marines awoke from, and they walked down and to the left a short distance towards two requisition officers for assignment.

Have you had an application to Colonial Marines or New Eden denied before?

I can't recall that I have, I can't say I've applied before either.

Are you currently a staff member elsewhere (not just SS13)? If so, where?

Currently I've downsized from my other server creations/endeavors and I maintain my Teamspeak server.

Have you ever been banned for more than 24 hours on Colonial Marines?

I've never been banned before, so no.

If a player was shooting everyone in briefing at round start how would you deal with the situation?

I would swiftly appraise the situation, first checking if he was fired on and if it is a legitimate scuffle in rp, failing that I would then start to account for his mistakes and knock him out, either in the variables tab by applying sleep or incapacitating him in another way. I would then send him a message asking about the situation and his intent. Should he fail to be appropriate or act responsibly I would document this in addition in the notes and the check for confirmation with the other staff on a course of action. A projected estimate for this of course should take no longer than two minutes to reach resolution. After all that is said and done I would go through the A-helps about it and start trying to correct his wrongs if I needed to.

You notice that a xeno is breaching the Nostromo and is unable to seal it with resin. How would you deal with this and what punishment would you give for a first offender?

I fail to see the relevance to the Nostromo, but were it to happen on the Sulaco I would question him on his intent and make a documented record of it for later use. If it was an honest mistake and was a round crippling goof I would try to quickly patch the hole by spawning in a wall for it, if it was found to be a legitimate rp based thing I'd have to allow the marines the chance to patch it. If his intent was malicious or otherwise indeterminable and he lacked consistency I'd again defer the punishment up with the rest of staff for a council sort of ruling. Otherwise, back to the innocent situation I would give him a warning to not mess with the pressure of the atmos systems in such a way by breaching the shuttle into space.

The marines want the nuke codes to detonate the Nostromo because they claim they are losing too many marines. There are currently 4 aliens and 20 marines in your /who. What do you do?

I would let them know that it isn't within my ability to give them the nuke code or not, then wish them the best of luck. My logic on this is that they outnumber the Aliens anyhow, so there is no real dire need for this to be deployed, and most importantly I do not have the authority to do so.

A Sulaco Medic has made several napalm grenades and hands them out to marines. One of the marines throws the grenade into Logistics. There are no admins or other moderators online. What do you do?

I would document the entire situation on each individuals player notes and then proceed to punish the offending medic based on his infractions of meta-knowledge, and equipment that is considered off limits or otherwise explicitly blacklisted. Then I would give a general "no fun allowed" type announcement in OOC to remind people that atmos interfering grenades are a no-no.

What would you do if a player started to talk about the things he did to your mom last night?

Honestly, I would laugh. My mothers love life has never been any of my business, and I'm not quite sure why he wants to make it that way with these allegations, but they are funny.

Any additional information you'd like to add?

Aside from being a seasoned administrative member from many "tours of terrible" throughout many many games, I'd like to say that I bring pragmatism into a situation, that I'm able to admit when I'm wrong because it's the truth. I've gone as far as rescinding previous judgements upon further investigation, because accuracy and precision are more important than protecting a "grudge" I might have against an individual, allowing me to assess a situation with a cool head and properly participate in things that I'm involved in. With that out of the way, I'd like to say I'm glad to come back to the Sulaco and see so much has changed, and continues to do so at a steady improving pace. I will admit that I "Fudged" a rule in posting this as one of the stipulations was waiting for the account to be two weeks old, however I feel that if it is a serious issue it could be ignored for two weeks and then looked over, or perhaps I could get away with a little bit of slack on this as I had time to do it and did so when I could. Hopefully while still relevant and allowed for consideration. Anywho, as long winded as I was in this I hope the readers don't get too bored and find themselves having a good day.
