On average, how many hours are you available per week to moderate?
Well, without work or School, I'm available around 40 hours a week.
Do you have any previous experience in being staff (not just SS13)?
I Co-Owned a Minecraft server as well as being Head Admin on another. While playing on a different server, the Owner trusted me with op basically, until I asked for her to remove it because I got bored of having every permission. I stopped playing Minecraft for about 6 months but then finally got back into and was a Gym Leader on a Pixelmon server. I stepped down after having to rebuild my Gym 3 times by hand because the Owner thought best to instantly update instead of waiting to see if there were any bugs, so the map was reset 3 times.
Did you play any of the previous Colonial Marine servers?
I Played on the Nostromo Map before this new map was released.
Have you had an application to Colonial Marines or New Eden denied before?
No I have not.
Are you currently a staff member elsewhere (not just SS13)? If so, where?
No I have not.
Have you ever been banned for more than 24 hours on Colonial Marines?
No I have not.
If a player was shooting everyone in briefing at round start how would you deal with the situation?
I would first message them and ask them their reason for shooting everyone in briefing. I'd then wait for a response and if i received none, I would again send them a message asking their reason. If they player didn't respond again, I'd ban them for 24 hours and put it in their notes for the reason why they were banned and the punishment i carried out. If they player did respond and tell me they were shooting someone in self-defense after they were first shot, I'd check the Logs and and ask if both players consented to the death match. After that, unless anything else came up that was against the rules, I'd let the MP of that round deal with the Player's death match.
You notice that a xeno is breaching the Nostromo and is unable to seal it with resin. How would you deal with this and what punishment would you give for a first offender?
I'd ask the Xeno's reason for breaching in the first place. If it was a place where the Atmos is vitally needed, I'd message an Engineer if they're near or another Xeno that can fix it and ask them to come repair the hole., if not. I'd warn the Xeno to not breach next time and that if they do it again, they will be met with further punishment. I'd then ask an Engineer or Xeno to fix the breach and watch the Xeno further to make sure they don't do it again.
The marines want the nuke codes to detonate the Nostromo because they claim they are losing too many marines. There are currently 4 aliens and 20 marines in your /who. What do you do?
I'd read what the Marines want then reply to them using the Central Command Verb and probably say, "As Marines, you were sent out to Search for Survivors, Help any Survivors, and Destroy any Foreign Life Form. Maybe instead of blowing up a Ship that costs more than the food you eat and point your shiny metal sticks to shoot at the Hostiles would help you better.
A Sulaco Medic has made several napalm grenades and hands them out to marines. One of the marines throws the grenade into Logistics. There are no admins or other moderators online. What do you do?
I would move the Marine into the Admin jail and talk to the Command and Few Marines that probably died in the explosion. I'd then punish the Marine for griefing other players and put him to sleep and temp ban him for minimum 48 hours. I'd then log it in his Notes what he did, what his reason for it, and the punishment that was carried out. I'd then go through the logs and find out who made the Napalm and warn them not to do it again, Job Ban him from Medic because He's a Medic and not a Researcher who can make Napalm and put it in their notes that they made Napalm, handed it out to Marines, which one of them used to blow up Logistics.
What would you do if a player started to talk about the things he did to your mom last night?
Mostly I've dealt with this a lot in players,(I will not lie, I'd probably become irate with the player) so I'll tend to ignore it for about at most 4 times and then warn him that I will mute him if he continues. If he continues and the situation gets worse, I'll mute him for the duration of the round and log it in his Notes what he said and what the Punishment was for what was said.
Any additional information you'd like to add?
I graduated High School this year (Class of 2015) and currently looking for a job, I have an operating cell phone if anyone needs to contact me and it's also linked to my Skype.

Re: HurttleTurtle - Moderator Application
In my opinion, the answers are...decent. I'm more concerned about your attitude towards other players. It's become quite a trend that I see you getting toxic towards another playing in LOOC and have to put a stop to it. In addition to that, you don't seem that active on the forums, which really doesn't help you. I'll remain neutral, leaning towards -1 in this until some more feedback is provided.

Re: HurttleTurtle - Moderator Application
-Neutral- You are fairly decent at roleplay. You would do to have more forum activity as mentioned by Fatal. Your answers are fairly well thought out and you seem to know how to approach a situation. I haven't played with you enough to confirm this "toxicity", but I have seen you in a rage before, so that does bring my vote from a positive to a neutral.

I have not seen you all that active on the forums so that would have to increase if I were to accept you but over all I have seen you in game quiet a bit and a pretty decent player over all +1 for now

I'm sorry, but I've been pretty active. I haven't been on this week because I was busy trying to get a job, but overall. I've been active and playing on Colonial Marines for awhile. I know I need to have more Forum Posts and everything, but my In-game presence has been fine.SASoperative wrote: I have seen you in game quiet a bit

+1 This application is extremely old - Sept. 7, my vote is being changed due to you fulfilling your need of more forum activity, although not extensive. Contradictory to the day-time staff above me, I have seen you quite a bit during the night time rounds.
My statements of not being able to confirm your toxicity has still not been abolished however, I am yet to see you be excessively toxic, but you are not passive in the least.

The answers are alright, I'd say give the person trial and see how they handle themselves in the field.

In the past two weeks, I haven't seen you once. I got on at all sorts of times and stayed on for quite a while. In addition to barely seeing you on the forums at all since this has been posted. I'll be switching to a -1.

I can attest to seeing Turtle online every day for the past week. FatalEYES was either offline or AFK for each of the log times, Lost was there for around 3 of them.

Re: HurttleTurtle - Moderator Application
So I want to say this. Fatal's earlier post about my Toxicity. He's seen me rage only twice. Both times were neither my fault. I've never raged beyond both those two times, of all my 2 years of playing. And secondly, I wasn't gone for 2 weeks. I left for 3 days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) on a Camping trip with my 2 best friends before College started for them. I came back that monday and played on the server. And then I played randomly till now where I've been playing pretty stable.

This really rubbed me the wrong way. Both times you raged, it wasn't your fault? Are you not in control of your own actions or something?HurttleTurtle wrote:So I want to say this. Re: HurttleTurtle - Moderator Application
The reason why I said it wasn't my fault, is because it's easier saying that than going an explaining a whole situation about Fatal and me when it's already been resolved and side aside. Secondly, out of all this time of my app being up here for a month in a half, you take one thing that was said and based your entire opinion of, whether or not I should be given a chance at being a Mod, on a comment that was taken out of context. I take partly fault because i obviously didn't explain very well in that post. I raged twice because of someone's actions. Both times it was neither my fault for what happened but i still got blamed for it. That is why i raged. Sorry to come off so blunt, but it really irritates me when someone who is supposed to judge whether i should be fit for some thing, only judges by grabbing the first bad thing they see here and using that.

-1 for me as well.
A few days ago you went fucking crazy in the chat and were raging hard.
I wasn't going to say anything but your previous comments give you off to be very immature.

Re: HurttleTurtle - Moderator Application
When did I go crazy in chat a few days ago? I never once went crazy. I didn't play last night cause I was busy. The night before I played Researcher and CE. The night before that. I played XO. After that I continued to play both Marine and Researcher. Never once did I rage in any of those. And if you're talking about when that one Marine went Rogue, shot me multiple times and put me in critical twice. I wasn't raging, I was RP'ing as to being shot multiple times and wanting him shot in sight because he was a threat to the ship.

Seeing as you're trying to turn the whole Mini-Chat thing against me. Here. I was smart enough to get the entire chat down.
http://pastebin.com/wJnXY7p4
The entire Mini-Chat log in which, according to you, I was "Raging, Fucking Crazy, and Arguing".

Yeah, I'm just going to quit this. There's literally no point in me trying to become staff when multiple people are taking things not only out of context but making up lies and using them against me.
