Performance is one of our biggest needs right now, and I'm sure the help would be appreciated. Our devs tend to prefer fun things instead of "work" things.

We use a part of the website to display logs to Staff/Devs, along with a full server log to show runtimes and a runtime condenser to organize the information.

Yeah. We have so many runtimes they need to be organized.

I don't really know the guy, but his posts that outline the problem and solution are right on the mark. With the server population hitting 80s and so on, the lag has become very noticeable and is a major issue to player enjoyment.

I would support except for the fact that some of the most recent commits were not atomic. In addition, almost none of the commits said what they do, they changed under 20 lines on average, and they were made 10 at a time, making retracing steps or changes somewhat dificult.

That and the dank memes and rare pepes.

Might as well consider that most of those 'quick' commits where made to unfuck shit fucked by other coders, additonally most if not all of my real 'proper' DM projects are closed source

Ive had a pretty negative view of you on the server since youve been around. People are always complaining about you and you seem to always be at the front of a issue. Seriously need to tone it down and start following the rules a little better.

Also, with the nickname "Saltmaster" it doesnt exactly project good intentions.

I might be abrasive at times, sure but as I've noted before i like CM as a server and i'm more than willing to help turn this into a lag-free experience, I've been a active Goonstation mentor in 2015, and I've helped their development team out with several exploits, bugs and I've worked on several smaller projects to reduce the RSC filesize by compressing sprites and sounds, by all means, feel free to ask them about some of my help and contributions.

Why aren't you with HippieStation anymore?

I left after a -lot- of internal drama, i initially joined when the team split into HippieStation and AtlasStation, once the old team came back there was a lot of internal drama, so i decided to quit, besides that i dislike the reputation of HippieStation due to the fact that it's seen as the server where all banned people go.

I'll be blunt. We want people that are trustworthy and mature - people who know what "respect" means and don't fly off the handle. If I look at your logs, is that the conclusion I would reach about you?

I understand the point, but then again why would i go trough the lengthy process and hassle to apply as a developer for a closed-source SS13 game to then leak it's source code to the general public? You can totally trust me, as i've said before i've worked on projects for other closed source codebases, i'm not here to fuck people over, i like CM as a whole, even though i play Goonstation as a regular, i still like playing here from time to time, and i dislike playing on a server that has massive performance issues from time to time, thus my application.

I am going with a -1, you got banned today for the same thing you did last night and were bragging that you getting rid of all the Rasputin was a "prank" to the marines as a MT which goes against our server rules. I gave you a warning and then you did it again today that resulted in your ban. Furthermore you have developed a very negative reputation from the community on the server, I get the whole abrasive personality, but you seem to go out of your way to give other players a hard time for no reason whatsoever. I get this is development application, but this makes you staff and as staff no matter what your position you have to be a player that isn't going to ruin the times of others. I honestly didn't care for your application until I heard more of your antics from other staff and other community members and honestly you have lost my respect and if I can't respect you I can honestly don't see a reason to trust you then. Thus you are getting the -1 from me.
