Common Staff Situations:
Write a description of what you would do in each situation (BELOW) the situation. If you start it on the same line, I'll assume you can't follow directions and auto-decline your application.



1. A player is firing his weapon in the briefing area near the start of the round.
I woud see if the player was shooting at the air or at marines, and check if it was a missclick, if the shot was at marines i woud warn or ban accordingly (e.g. if a player shot someone with a pistol that does no damage to marines with armor, i woud warn him, but if he shot someone with a shotgun i woud defenatley ban them), if the player shot in the air i woud give him a verbal warning.

2. The Sulaco has a breach to space.
i woud get someone to fix it immediatley and track down the player responsible. i woud then find out if it was intensional or not and warn/ban accordingley.
if it was pure grief i woud also heal any deceased mariens that were killed as a result of the grief.

3. The marines want the nuke codes because they claim they are losing too many marines. There are currently 4 aliens and 20 marines in your /who.
I woud make a M.O.T.H.E.R. annauncment that told the marines that there are 1-9 hostile lifeforms detected and that the marines have sufficient manpower to repel any hostiles.

4. A Sulaco researcher has made several napalm grenades and hands them out to marines. One of the marines throws the grenade into Logistics. There are no admins or other moderators online.
i woud try to contact other staff members and ask OOC to report any other napalm granades via ahelp, then i woud delete all reported granades. then i woud ban both the researcher and marine for breaking the rules. the researcher woud be banned for making napalm granades and the marine for griefing. i woud then (with the help of other moderators and admins that showed up) attempt to fix the damage caused.

5. A player is starting to talk about the things he did with your mom last night over Ahelp.
i woud tell him to stop using ahelp to talk abaut non-related subjects, and if he keeps talking i woud mute him from ahelps.

6. You notice a marine with a name that doesn't fit our naming rules.
i woud alert the marine that his/her name goes aganist our naming rules and then change his/her name to a fitting one. i woud also add a warning to the player.

6a. The marine is arguing that: They've used the name for several years, noone has told them to change it before, and that they didn't know it was a rule.
i woud reply that ignorance is not an excuse and that theyr name will be changed.

7. You see a Sulaco Doctor with an M41A rifle strapped to his back running around the briefing area. There are wounded in medbay, and the other doctor is in surgery.
I woud tell the doctor to drop the rifle and help the peaple in medbay, i woud also check if the medbay was overrun or if there is something else (e.g blast door) stopping him/her from helping the wounded in medbay.

8. You see a Squad Medic performing surgery on the planet. He claims it was because there were no doctors in the FOB.
I woud state that it is still not an excuse to perform surgery, and that he is to bring the marine to the sulaco to actual doctors. i woud also issue a warning, or give him a jobban if he/she is a repeat offender.

9. The round is stagnating. There are 30 marines and 4 aliens. The marines won't leave the Sulaco, and the aliens won't attack. What would you do, to "encourage" the sides to engage each other?
I woud make a M.O.T.H.E.R. annauncment that there are 2-10 alien lifeforms and 30 marines detected on a lifeform scan. The mariens are to deploy and eleminate the remaning aliens.

10. The round ends, and a marine starts unloading his weapons on other marines.
I woud immediatley ban him for 3 hours for EORG.

11. A marine who has recently awoken is using soap to slip other marines.
i woud see if he just dropped the soap and moved on or if he is constantley replacing the soap, if so, i woud warn him that it is boardedline griefing and tell him to stop.

12. A marine has killed another marine. When you ask him why, he said it was because the other marine had punched him.
I woud check the logs to vertify if it realy was the only cause and also ask the offenging marine, if it realy was the only reason, i woud ban the offender for griefing and heal the other marine

i can not promise that my given time online is met, but i do play a lot (abaut 8 hours a day on avarage) on weekends, but i may not be able to play duaring the week beacuse of school.
I also apologise for any grammar mistakes as english is not my primary language (estonian), but i have learned english for 7 years and i belive that my moderating abilities will not be affected by it.
