Silentium - Coder application

Post by Silentium » 13 Apr 2016, 04:51

Byond ID: Silentium

Age: 18

Gender: Male. Kind of.

How would you define yourself? (Coder, Mapper, Spriter): Coder and, actually, spriter, but my previous spriter application was denied.

If Coder, what languages?

DM, C++ (sorta), HTML.

Any previous experience developing with SS13?

A lot of it. I'm a minor developer in russian community.

Proof of any previous or current work:

Well, back when I was working on my WWI event, I made some features, including correctly operating bolt-action rifles:

http://prntscr.com/arnp57

While making a survival build, I've also been busy with crafting system:

http://prntscr.com/arn0m5

And, by the way, most of the featured sprites are also mine.

How well do you know Git?

Not so much.
Don't you hiss me now, okay?

Your primary job is server development, not policing the server. You may be given Moderator-level of access but you should *not* be invoking any administrative actions unless there are no moderators or Admins online. Do you understand? (Yes/No)

I don't want to be a moderator and/or admin anyway, so yes.

Anything else you'd like to add?

Bananas?

I'm not any form of authority, but may we (or at least I) see the actual code?

You're welcome.

Not something I'd hide, considering how wacky my crafting code is.

I'll see about getting a dev member to look this over and prepare a test.

So, yeah, about this test thing... I don't want to be that annoying type of guy, but when exactly can dev member look this over? It's been half a month since I submitted the application.

Sorry, our server doesn't do a lot of coding apps because we've never really needed any. It'll be dealt with in the next few days.

Hello!

Considering that shotguns seem to always have problems, for the test write your own shotgun code. Include firing and reloading procs, as well as any special features you want to add (except sprites and only a projectile system if you feel super ambitious).

PM me with the results, preferably before the end of the month (but not concretely).
