How would you define yourself? (Coder, Mapper, Spriter): Mapper
If Coder, what languages? None, currently, but I've been planning on learning how to code.
Any previous experience developing with SS13? I have contributed a few map changes on the Paradise station codebase, mostly minor fixes, with a 'overhaul' remap of the mining area some time ago which was well received.
Proof of any previous or current work:
https://github.com/ParadiseSS13/Paradise/pull/1752 This one is kinda embarrassing, due to my self instruction on how to git, but I eventually got this one through. Proof of determination I suppose.
https://github.com/ParadiseSS13/Paradise/pull/2025
How well do you know Git? Enough to get by, pushing commits and fixing any merge conflicts that arise.
Your primary job is server development, not policing the server. You may be given Moderator-level of access but you should *not* be invoking any administrative actions unless there are no moderators or Admins online. Do you understand? (Yes/No) Yes
Anything else you'd like to add? Unfortunately I don't have much else to show, showcasing my skill. But I am very familiar with dream maker and mapping from just tinkering and playing around with concepts and ideas. One of my firm beliefs is balance and moderation in all things, be it mechanical, ascetic, and functionality.
I'd like to contribute however I can to CM, and see what kinda nifty drek I can pull out of my hat. Also, If lack of a portfolio of sorts is a problem, I would be more than happy to belt out a few concepts sometime in the near future.

Re: M3hillus's Mapper Application
Our overall map style is pretty different from the average SS13 server, I'd like to see something a little different from the couple examples you provided, if you'd be willing. I'm going to give you three tasks, we need you to complete two of them as a test. Task 1 is mandatory, and you may choose one of tasks 2 and 3 to complete. Try to keep to the CM style, some sort of Marine and/or Xeno reference should be obvious in each task.
Mandatory:
Task 1 - A small mining village, population of 20 or so, with a minimum of four buildings, all with their own uses. The buildings don't have to be huge, but a 2x2 shed does not count as a building. The planet has oxygen, so an Atmos setup is not necessary. Add evidence of a recent Xeno attack for flavor.
Choose One of These:
Task 2 - A botanical themed research facility in a harsh martian environment, maybe it's on the Moon, or Mars, or someplace else entirely. The facility doesn't have to be massive, think more around the size of a department on most SS13 servers. Once again, add evidence of a recent Xeno attack.
Task 3 - A marine transport ship has crash landed on a large, seemingly-uninhabited asteroid. Map the crash site and wreckage. Survivors managed to construct some makeshift shelter out of the wreckage while awaiting rescue, but they have mysteriously gone missing.
None of these maps need to be huge, nothing the size of a regular CM map. Quality over quantity is the idea here. Take as much time as you'd like, and post your work once you're happy with what you've completed with the resources you had available. Feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Would these just be mock ups, or a full wire-pipe-zone kinda deal?

Re: M3hillus's Mapper Application
The mining camp should be fully self sustaining. That means at least a bunk house with a bathroom that can sustain 20 or bunkhouse and an outhouse, a power station, and a place to eat. It should look mostly low end/industrial/prefab.
Resident canon stickler.

The zoning isn't a big deal for the test, you can skip it. All of these maps should be powered, even if the power isn't functional due to damage, so definitely do the wiring please, same goes for disposals.

What's the deal here? Are you still interested/working on the test?
