Yes, I have extensive administration time on Minecraft servers and a Jedi Knight Academy MB2 server.
Did you play any of the previous Colonial Marine servers?
I did not.
What are the 3 biggest servers you play on besides CM?
The only servers I play are CM and TG Terry, the latter usually* when the prior is mid-round.
Provide links to any previous Colonial Marines applications that you've made:
My previous Moderator application: http://www.cm-ss13.com/viewtopic.php?t=19003
Are you currently a staff member elsewhere (not just SS13)? If so, where?
No.
Have you ever been banned for more than 24 hours on Colonial Marines?
Ban History:
► Show Spoiler
1. 180 minutes (3 hours) for EORG.
2. 180 minutes (3 hours) for SSD at round start (Parents divorced, had to go to the other house right after round start, intended to continue playing upon arrival, failed to inform staff)
3. 720 minutes {12 hours) for execution of the CE as SO (Killed CE following a fight which was caused by the CE insulting my character.)
4. 1440 minutes (24 hours) threw CL down disposals because they refused to leave my operating room (apologized immediately afterwards as I realized this was a massive overstep. Cryoed myself after being warned I would be banned for my actions)

Are you familiar with the chat program Slack (its use is required)?
I possess it but have not got much familiarity with it, it does not however appear difficult to utilise.
Common Staff Situations:
► Show Spoiler
Write a description of what you would do in each of the following situations. Do not write on the same line as the situation - use the space below it or make space as needed. Failure to do this proves your inability to follow instructions and your application will be automatically denied.
1. A player randomly shoots someone at round start and MPs have detained him.
Ping them and ask why he randomly shot someone, add a note if needed. If they are new I would refer them to a mentor. MPs can continue their actions. I would try to discern both sides of the story before taking severe action if their history (if any) indicates malicious intent.
My initial ping would also contain the information regarding that this action can lead to a hefty ban in future and recommend they read the rules closely.
2. The ship has a breach to space and a bunch of players have died or are dying as a result.
This is not within my power to rectify so I would immediately inform an admin. I would then perform an investigation to determine the cause of the breach, sending relevant information to higher-ups. Consequently anyone that perished due to the breach I would aHeal, provided the breach was not intentional as part of an event or perhaps a Predator detonation. Furthermore, if the issue is not that of a Predator explosion or an a event I would SM engineering staff or the aCO and recommend they do their best to repair the breach. I may also do this even if it is part of an event or Predator explosion, leaving a breach isn't going to be good for the ship.
3. You see a player walking around the ship naked and clearly lost.
Ping a mentor to talk to them, if no mentor is available I would handle it myself, asking the player if they are new and directing them around the ship, explainng relevant things for their role. Dependant on how new they are with SS13 I'd go through how weapons work etc.
4. A player is being very rude to you in Adminhelps and requesting to speak to an Admin+ staff member.
A player does not have the privelege to choose who they deal with, I would apply a note for their behaviour and attempt to continue solving their issue. Should the issue itself require Admin+ level, I would inform the needed personnel.
5. You notice a player with a name that doesn't fit our naming rules. The player is arguing that: They've used the name for several years, no one has told them to change it before, and that they didn't know it was a rule.
PM them and inform them of the issue, noting that regardless of how long they have used the name if it does not comply to the naming rules it is not permitted. I would ask them to change it next round and add a note to their file, also if needed I would ask an Admin+ to forcibly change their name.
6. You see a Maintenance Tech running around in armor and carrying a rifle. The security level is green with no threat present.
For the most part this is IC, I would still investigate why they are geared up so heavily as it could potentially be metagaming, the MT could be preparing for a fight on the ship that they have no IC ability to predict. Should the MT get hostile or misuse their equipment I would get involved properly and PM them to stop, possibly aSleeping them and resolving the issue that way.
7. You see a Squad Medic performing surgery on the planet. He claims it was because there were no doctors in the FOB.
This is mechanically impossible. Should I see it occur however I would tell the medic to finish their current action, close the incision and send their patient up to a real doctor along with informing them this is not allowed and adding a note to their account.
8. The round is stagnating. There are 30 marines and 4 aliens. The marines won't leave the ship, and the aliens won't attack. What would you do, to "encourage" the sides to engage each other?
SM the aCO to attack, giving either a rough location or rough number of enemies. The new bioscan should prevent this situation happening as it does both those things. In the case of the Xenos I would substiute SMing the aCO with using the Queen Mother to order the hive to attack. Similar things would occur if the numbers were reversed.
9. The round ends, a MARINE starts shooting a hostile CLF member and the CLF member Adminhelps complaining he was killed after the round ended.
EORG does not apply to naturally hostile sides, unless the CLF member is detained as an existing prisoner, and therefore the continued firefight is allowed. Indeed, the whole point of EORG is that the round continues IC beyond round end, therefore anything that happened prior to round end should continue.
10. A marine is running around disarming, punching and stealing gear at round start.
Round start shittery is not tolerated, I would PM them to stop and apply a note, should they continue I would give them a short ban. Should they stop it becomes an MP issue and I would leave things up to them.
11. A marine has killed another marine. When you ask him why, he said it was because the other marine had punched him.
This is Improper Escalation so I would investigate the whole situation, apply a note, and then a short ban. A longer one would be applied subject to their history. Outright confessing they killed them for a punch clearly shows the player has not read the rules. I would advise them to do so and remind them what it says when you join the server. Ignorance is not an excuse.
12. An issue arises that requires Admin+ abilities.
I would collect required information and request an Admin come to help via Discord, Slack or ingame comms. Screenshots would also be taken for record keeping.
13. There are minor racist comments going on IC. 9 of the 10 people are laughing and RPing but one player gets offended and Adminhelps about it.
Minor racism is tolerable, whilst not promoted, and should be left as is, if the concerned player really is offended I would ask the person(s) making the comments to tone it down a bit and keep in mind some people find it offensive. Subject to severity of the comments I would also review the history of the commenter add a note to their account if needed.
14. A marine opens fire at round start in briefing killing multiple marines and instantly logs off.
Apply a lengthy ban and note their file, review their history and consider filing for perma.
15. You see a player playing a xeno larva/chestburster run towards the frontlines and die.
PM them and ask why they did it, meanwhile check their note history and review recent logs to see if they said anything relevant prior to their death. Apply a note regarding the situation if determined the death was intentional.
16. You see a xeno memeing, saying AYYLMAO, REEEEEE etc in hivemind chat.
Notify the player of their actions being LRP, and not tolerable. Tell them to stop and apply a note to their account. Should they have a history of this I would take further action, applying a short ban.
17. A xeno player calls the shuttle a "dropship". A different xeno player complains to you that it's metagaming/failRP to call it a "dropship".
Language is subjective, you can call dropships leonards if you like, everyone knows what you are referring to. The language of the Xenos is a direct translation of their thoughts and meanings, you can call it whatever you like.
18. A Command staff player at briefing near round-start mentions there are aliens on the planet.
PM them about it, asking why they mentioned aliens without knowlege of them, clarify they do not mean the known local wildlife, and have them correct their actions. I would potentially use LOOC to countermand what the Command member said, and remind people they do not know about the Xenos. (Dependant on my available powers) Furthermore I would add a note to the player's account for metaknowledge.
19. A Marine kills another Marine on the EVAC Pod to take the last spot and claims it was RP as he was saving himself.
This is IC, an extreme case of escalation but perfectly validated by the desperation of trying to escape horrifying aliens that slaughtered their comrades. You do not need to outrun the enemy, only your friends.
20. You see a fellow staff member give wrong information in an Adminhelp...
I would PM the staff member of their mistake and the correct information or do the same via msay. Should the staff member fail to correct themselves I would directly correct it by PMing the person that was misinformed. I would also inform senior staff that the staff member did not amend their misinformation.
...or incorrectly enforcing a rule.
I would take screenshots for record keeping and inform a more senior staff member, potentially going straight to their manager dependant on their rank and/or severity of their actions. (An admin improperly enforcing a rule for example is much worse than that of a mod, though equally negative an admin should know what they're doing.)
20a. You see a fellow staff member abusing his powers in-game.
I would collect evidence and take screenshots as needed for record keeping, then immediately inform the respective manager. Additionally I would use what limited powers I have so as to repair any damgage caused.
21. You see a player talking in OOC chat about what he did with your mom last night.
Welcome to the internet, nice to see you here.

My schedule is subject to change dependant on what is needed of me in life, I will notify of any changes as far in advance as I am able.
I sink days into this server, it has become a solace from the everyday irritances of life, I want to give back to an amazing community I'm lucky to be a part of.
I apologise for the answers if they appear short, I did not want to repeat what I said in my previoua application.
