Minijar's Mapper Application
Byond ID: Minijar
Age:16
Gender: Male
How would you define yourself? (Coder, Mapper, Spriter): Mapper
If Coder, what languages? N/A
Any previous experience developing with SS13?
Yes I've worked previously on little maps for myself to kill time and created almost fully one of the Z-levels for Baystation's upcoming map Kun-peng.
Proof of any previous or current work:
The civilian level for the Kunpeng
A little asteroid facility that I made whilst bored one day.
Continued.
How well do you know Git?
Well enough to make pull requests and fork stuff, so in other words yes I know it well.
Your primary job is server development, not policing the server. You may be given Moderator-level of access but you should *not* be invoking any administrative actions unless there are no moderators or Admins online. Do you understand? (Yes/No) Yes.
Anything else you'd like to add? Negatory.

Re: Minijar's Mapper Application
I want to know how good you are with mapping havoc areas.
Make few connected rooms with a sign of combat/destruction in it. (Flipped tables, blood, gibs, broken tiles, etc.) Something that would surprise a player first time entering it.

Re: Minijar's Mapper Application
This comes at a good time, as we were discussing adding a new map last night, and we'll probably need someone to make it.
Can you make an example, of a ground facility that is a bit trashed, but has evidence of people still living there? (defenses, etc)

Re: Minijar's Mapper Application
So I worked on Infernus's request, and I made a small office building with a kind of 'last-stand' feel to it. The marines would enter find a lotof blood and bullets indicating some kind of fight had taken place and with two bodies (Blue x's).

Re: Minijar's Mapper Application
So here's my attempt at Apophis' request. General fluff is, that after aliens arrive the two wings sealed, the medical area unsuccessfully and science was completely sealed leading to it becoming abandoned and ripe with loot.

Re: Minijar's Mapper Application

Re: Minijar's Mapper Application
That was my original thought too, but the science wing was supposed to be somewhat secure and I didn't want people just going into medical and going into said room, taking down one wall and getting access to science goodies. But it could be easily replaced with an emergency storage room/generator room easily.

Standing by, I can wait a bit longer.
Just gonna say, if the underground map level gets approved, I'd love to make that. Underground labs are my speciality, hence my love for all things Black Mesa/Half-Life.
