Remain Professional, no matter what happens
- Constantly stay cool. Regardless of what a player says to you do not act unprofessional and get angry with them.
- This also applies to the forums. Retain some level of professionalism when posting in player reports or ban appeals.
- Do not release information from the staff chat to the public. EVER.

Preserve the RP and enjoyment of the server (This one is less the RP of the server and more the enjoyment)
- If a player breaks a rule, but increases the enjoyment of the server in general, (through roleplay or other such things) it can be overlooked. If no one admin helps (ahelp) a complaint, or seems to be complaining or taking issue with it, it may be best to let it go.
- We’re a server focused on the enjoyment of the players. As long as the players are having a blast and not every single rule is being broken, it’s okay to let some things slide here and there.
- Do not try to heavily influence the game unless it is for very good reasoning such as for an event, a player purposefully holding up the game, dishing out punishment for rule breaking (Examples: a commander killed a marine unjustly, a squad of marines are killing other marines for no reason, a queen is slashing every host known to man, aliens have stacked too many huggers) or other such things.


Description of the incident: To preface my message, I know that I'm in hot water currently but I hope that doesn't detract from my case.

I started this round off as the Commander, and had a fantastic round, everyone was doing their jobs and such. However, near the end of my life when I was sitting in medbay getting worked on, Sur "Druglord" Lazhar says through LOOC something to the effect of "you're bad at overwatch". I figured hey, to each their own and that it was a valid criticism (I did say something to the effect of "no I'm not", but this got pushed out of my chat log by the time I started taking screenshots). Then, once more in LOOC whilst being worked on, he begins complaining that medbay was "retarded", further complaining and being rather aggressive. I can understand criticism to other people, yes, but he was being rather inflammatory and it seemed off for a staff member whose job is normally to handle people being overly toxic.

After that stuff was said in LOOC, I got slashed and was unconscious so I couldn't see anything else that went on, and promptly died. After I had died, I said hi to dchat and said that I'd been having a wonderful round when surrealistik continues to complain (screenshots start now), calling out medbay for a mistake that they'd made and being rather rude about it. I told him to stop and that not everybody's perfect, he was being needlessly aggressive and putting accusations of round loss on everybody but himself. He then claims that he's "sick of carrying the team", and calls anyone who makes a mistake a retard. He then goes on to complain about a marine who couldn't shoot an alien, once more calling him a retard, and by this point I'm rather pissed off. He's discrediting everyone else's efforts, and making himself seem like the best person on the team etc. So, to confirm my suspicions that he was surrealistik, I asked him just so I could be sure, and he gives me a rather rude response. (You'll see in the gyazo). At this point, I am more than aggravated, and confronted him about his "carrying the team statement". He boasts that, as a CT, he made a disposal loop system to do stuff faster and basically insinuates that because he powergamed he carried the team. I then make it known that I'm gonna make a staff report (in retrospect, I may or may not have, but I was gonna at least take screenshots to see if the behavior continues in the future, because he was sort of being an ass about everything), and he begins egging me on to do it. Calling me names and saying that it'd "make his day".

At this point, I was done with this and decided to start making a staff report, I came onto the forums and after my mchat stopped lagging I saw that he continued his dchat accusations of retardation in mchat.

As you can see from the screenshots (in chronological order), he was being incredibly unprofessional (one of the conduct things), getting angry at players for not being competent or doing their jobs perfectly. He continued to ridicule players (I left out some of the stuff that he said about players because it wasn't bad enough imo, saying that someone shouldn't have done this but not being aggressive in how he said it, but he still went off on everyone who didn't do their jobs perfectly), accusing players of being "retards" and insulting everybody's setup and how they did things. If he had done this passively, it'd have been alright, if he was giving constructive critism, but he was just insulting players and nobody was getting anything out of it. He turned dchat into a rather toxic environment while everyone else was having normal constructive conversations, and absolutely did not preserve the enjoyment of the server OR constantly remain cool as it says.

Now, you may be thinking that this was just a one time salty thing, and even though that's specifically covered in the conduct, I've seen him acting as an elitist in dchat a lot before he became staff (but I didn't make a report on it because he wasn't staff, it wasn't his responsibility to remain cool), I doubt that this will be the last time it happens either because he does it every round I see him on in dchat.

To put this in context, I was setting up defenses at Medladder, relying on a marine to cover me while a rather obvious hunter in perfect lighting came up the ladder and approached; I was expecting this marine to, in any of the intervening 10 seconds, light this hunter up; he did not until I was half-dead on the floor.

Afterwords I get shoved into cryo whose cooler was apparently turned off for no good reason because there were no power issues whatsoever; this resulted in my death and removal from the round. Per the screenshotted gyazo, that goes well beyond lack of perfection (which I obviously do not expect) to either griefing, complete ignorance or stupidity.

In general, well-merited salt. If I'm not allowed to get justifiably salty while I'm involved in the round as a player, and then basically threatened by Noah with a Staff report because of his lingering grudge over a prior job ban from Engineering when he deliberately griefed my disposals network, there's no point in being a Mentor.

You didn't cause me to get jobbanned from engineering, if you read the post that Feweh made it was because I was in jail too much and I wasn't playing the role right. I don't hold that against you, and I made multiple attempts to try to not burn bridges because I didn't want that to linger even after it had been dealt with.

Yes, you wrote this up out of spite, yes that report is what ultimately got you job banned, and as I said, if the CoC forbids me from getting salty for legit reasons, then fuck being a Mentor.

If I had to be perfectly honest, I had that jobban coming for a long time, if it wasn't then it'd have been next week, and I knew that whenever it happened.

Either way, I don't see anything extreme that I haven't done before several times, So I feel like this is partially due to Salt/Grudge between you two. Supported by the mentioned off topic arguing. I don't really have any say on this I mostly just wanted to post to tell you to get back on topic or stop arguing.

Going to go ahead and say it, that's not professional. Being salty as a player is acceptable, name calling as staff is not. Whether or not this warrants removal is really the question.

Noah is a bit of a shitter, but this seems more than a bit excessive...
I'm going to be paying close attention to this investigation.
I mean, I know sometimes people call names, but there's a point at which it's excessive. Especially if you're isolating one specific person out. And even then, usually most staff do it more of a joke than anything else. This seems very... personal and antagonistic.

Honestly, as a mentor now, you have tools to deal with incompetence. Upon re-reading this, it's actually your ONE job.
You aren't here to carry the team, you're here to teach others to carry the team.

A MD or MT doesn't know what he's doing, and it's obvious? Adminpm them and ask if they need help, you can DO that and don't have to wait for them to ask. Some ARE jerks, and almost none will master the system you're trying to teach in one round, but you can deal with some of the "incompetence" you saw.

I had admin turned off that round; I was playing. The whole thing was a clusterfuck beginning to end when the Xenos invaded; some CT locked the Ripley, RO fucked up my facing just before placing barricades at Cargo ladder, then the blind marine failing at overwatch, Medbay turning off the cryo cooler, and Noah menacing me with a bullshit report on top of everything else when I was basically removed from the round by some very real incompetence, no quotation marks.

I reserve the right to be salty as fuck.
