Approximate time and date of the incident (Central Us Time for best results): Around 10PM-1AM of 10th dec/11th dec
Which Admin Protocols (viewtopic.php?f=57&t=5647) were broken: Code of Conduct violation.
Description of the incident: Restarted a game in the middle of an active round because he wanted to play on the snow map. This is an abuse of power because administrators should not be given carte blanche to change the game state to suit their personal preferences to the detriment of everyone else's enjoyment. Essentially he ruined a game for a personal whim[To my knowledge, I admit I could be wrong on this part]. I ask the admins "Why was the round reset?" and the response was "To play on the Ice Map". I then asked (paraphrasing because I forget what I exactly said) "So you can just ruin a round for everyone because you want to play on a different map", Fewas' response was "You know this game is free right? If you don't like it you can not play" [Not exact wording].
I think this sets a very bad precedent, on a similar scale of a staff member giving themselves permission to break Predator rules which I reference in the Predator Code of Conduct. viewtopic.php?f=57&t=2693
" A STAFF MEMBER MAY NOT GRANT THEMSELVES THIS ABILITY. IT CAN ONLY BE GIVEN BY ANOTHER STAFF MEMBER."
Evidence (screenshots, logs, etc): I did not take a screenshot or anything, however multiple moderators and Admins were online when it happened and more than one Admin answered my AHelp.
How you would punish the accused: I would ask him to be considerate of others, and respect that while alternate maps are very fun now and again it is very disruptive and un-fun to have a round that you've really invested into be cut short on the whim of another player. I don't think he should lose his position or anything, I just want Fewas to acknowledge that he was inconsiderate to the players of that round which goes against what his position as a staff member is about in my opinion[You guys are there to have your own fun and facilitate the fun of others]. I would also this situation to be handled differently in the future, for example map changes should be published and scheduled ahead of time, and it should be made clear that they can happen in the middle of the round if that is to be the policy. Alternatively I would like Staff to respect the wishes of the players in a round and ask them if they are alright with a round restart for a new map. I don't think he should be punished in any capacity, as far as I have seen he is a decent Staff member outside this one altercation we had.

Just posting this here, but verify the links please.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

Re: A Feweh fracas
There was a vote posted for a restart to change to the map, the host (apop) compiled the map to be switched and we changed it for specific reasons.
There is no warrant to this complaint, as a vote was called for and won by a large majority.
Also for future reference I don't actually play CM, so I didn't switch it for my enjoyment.
No abuse of power was used in anyway, I really have no idea why you are complaining at all.

Apophis was going to test Big Red Solaris Ridge. I suggested testing the snow map instead, and asked Apophis to compile it. Feweh made a vote to change the map, and the map change won by a large majority. The map was then changed because of the vote, not because Feweh wanted to play some other map. I was in contact with Apophis and Feweh during this time. No admin rules of conduct were broken.

Thats fair, I did say in my post that I could be wrong about exactly what happened. Myself and many other players didn't see the vote to restart the map, and that wasn't given as the reason for the round restart when I queried the admins.Feweh wrote:There was a vote posted for a restart to change to the map, the host (apop) compiled the map to be switched and we changed it for specific reasons.

Fair enough, I thought you had done it yourself because you were the person who replied to me in a mildly rude manner in chat.
This could have been an abuse of power, and a healthy community will talk about potential abuses openly and fairly without being needlessly amd excessively rude[which happens a bit too much when people call admins unkind names]. I would definitely consider restarting a round to suit a Staff member's personal whims an abuse of power however it doesn't seem like that was the case here. If what you said is true that there was a map vote then this is just a misunderstanding on my part and I retract the complaint.
Thats fair, it appears this is my mistake as I missed the map vote[as did many other players] and mistakenly thought a Staff member had restarted the round to suit themselves.forwardslashN wrote:Apophis was going to test Big Red Solaris Ridge. Well, I have no bad blood with Feweh, but theres no smoke without fire He must be doing something right[Or wrong!] if he's getting most of the complaint aggro.LocalizedDownpour wrote:Does Feweh get a rediculous admin complaint everyday...or...

Check your link related to pred rules and such. It's the link I was referring to. It points to the report staff post thing.

It seems like this dispute has been resolved amiably and I apologise to Feweh and the staff for making a mistake and misinterpreting the events.
