Incident Summary:

I like playing my chars IC as racist and bigot, to add flavor and spice to the game world. Now this guy wants to ban me for it. In my humble opinion IC racism is what it is, its IC. Why should I get banned for stuff my character says IC? I am as far away from a racist and bigot in real life as you can get. I watch stuff like South Park and Filthy Frank, I can take a hit and Im laughing about big fat white boy gamer stereotypes just as hard as about black melon jokes.

Now, the issue at hand here, for which I need a headmin opinion:

Is IC racism really bannable if 1 guy complains? I would hands down reject this ahelp as IC issue. Freemysoul on the other hand drags this from IC into OOC and threatens me with a ban.

Please, some Headmin or someone with authority over this matter tell me wether or not IC racism is OK and where the limits are.

Typically someones character resembles the person playing him, so being a racist was probably not a good idea, beyond that the USCM would not let someone whos openly racist become commander of the Sulaco, there are plenty of other ways to spice your character up, come on man.

Didn't you just get banned for racism and sexist comments in a different thread? And the comments you got banned for in that thread weren't IC, they were OOC in Dsay.

Use of slurs and bigotry has always been an issue as far as im aware IC or OOC.
We do not condone it.

I believe is was racial slurs in OOC though.

We tolerate LIGHT racism, as in something along the lines of saying "my nigga xur" in friendly terms.

We do not tolerate racism when its used in a offensive matter.

Firstly racism ICly is fine, but as soon as someone messages us about it or it becomes WAY too much of an issue, it then BECOMES an OOC issue, As I explained to you many a time during this.

If I could add to this, he was in Dchat being quite a douche, and I'm pretty sure he said ''Nigger'' right before he got the boot. I myself am not a fan of racism, but I am ok with certain things ICly and OOCly for the sake of a goodf laugh but when used to make the other feel uncomfortable should not be tolerated. You got what you deserved mate.
