Description of the incident: In the midst of a fight on the ice-map, I was apparently PM'd by Toroic to change my name. I didn't notice his PMs and continued fighting. half-way through the fight I'm blinded and deafened as a specialist from no obvious source; Me, and I assume the rest of my squad, are killed. Toroic PMs me asking me why I didn't respond, I told him this was the first PM I noticed; I then noticed my name was changed to Kellen Heller. I ask which admin did it, and he gives the answer "the same admin that was PMing you contiously" or to that extent. I ask for clarification because my chat history doesn't extend far enough to see the original PM, and he asks me "...Is english your second language?" I tell him there's no need to be rude, and he says he's been the only one PMing me since the beginning. I apologize for my name, and say I'll change it next round, and I'm revived back in my body, surrounded by xenos, and am killed seconds later.

How you would punish the accused: I didn't think essentially dooming me to die me on the spot was warranted for a name change, even if I missed the PMs. I don't see how anything more than a finger wag is warranted though

So going by this, you're reporting Toroic for.... Reviving you?

I think the gist of this is that he was slept during combat because of a name change issue, and he's saying it was a dickish thing to do.

Here's the chain of events.

1) You joined with the name Grey Tidington, which is pretty obviously against the rules.

2) I PM'd you twice some time apart about your name.

3) You didn't respond, so I "fixed" your name for you, and activated some genes that are difficult to notice in the hopes you would stop ignoring PMs.

4) You ghosted.

5) I rejuved/put your ghost back in your body so I can put a note in about you ghosting and not responding to PMs.

6) You start moving around, and I try again to talk to you about your name

7) You get robusted by a runner

8) You ask if I was the one who PM'd you earlier, and ahelp who made you deaf and blind, still avoiding discussing your name which is obviously a meme.

9) You file this report

Had you responded to any of my PMs initially, or ahelped if you missed it, I would've gladly ahealed you if you got attacked during.

I feel like, this could have been handled better than "activating genes" and instead using an Admin Sleep...

Also, seriously, if you're name is "Grey Tidington" you have to expect your blatant rule-break on names is going to EVENTUALLY get noticed.

Youre actually a known problematic player from Paradise.
Considering you ignored an Admin twice, sleeping you was the proper way to grab your attention.


I would of banned you had you not responded twice.
Technically, getting negative genes was actually a much better warnings as most staff would of banned you.


Not sure what the complaint is about, as you have multiple chances to acknowledge the admin.

I was blinded and deafened in a middle of a fight, resulting in me dying. I ghosted because I was dead. Being revived was self defeating since I was right next to a runner when it happened, who killed me mere seconds later. I wasn't even aware of the PMS until after I asked the admins what caused my blindness, I even apologized for missing them. I have no problem with changing my name, this is the first I've ever received a complaint about it; it's just the name I typically roll with across servers.

I mean, I'm not angry or anything, especially now I've had time to cool off. But I still feel like it needed to be pointed out

It was in the best taste for toroc to give you negative genes. But i think youd even agree that the intent wasnt malicious and the end result could of been much worse.

I just got a little heated because I felt like I got fucked over because of an accident but yeah, I think I'm held a grudge against it for no real reason.
