[Improper Adminbus] Feweh

Post by Swagile » 27 Jan 2017, 20:52

Your Byond Key: Swagile

Your Character Name: Alexander Maximus

Their Byond key: Feweh

Approximate time and date of the incident (Central Us Time for best results): Today, 8:48 PM, EST.

Which Admin Protocols (viewtopic.php?f=57&t=5647) were broken: Do not abuse your power.

Description of the incident: So marines got a major victory after taking down xenos, but then, Feweh decided to delay the round. The reason? For some reason, something happening in the ship warranted a Death Squad, which lead to the unneccesary extension of the round just so Feweh could press some buttons, as the only reason I got from deadchat was the commander accused the XO of mutiny (how is this DS worthy). Why do I say that accusation? I ahelped asking why DS was made, and he decided to respond by dismissing my ahelp completely without an answer.

Evidence (screenshots, logs, etc): http://puu.sh/tDggo/d39e1c2184.png

How you would punish the accused: Please tell him to stop pressing buttons at for little to no reason.

It was completely justified and done IC, you weren't a part of it, you aren't a staff member, you have no right to just know what happened, if people don't want to tell you, too bad.
Garth Pawolski, or is it Powalski?

Back in action.

Ok so I was in this round, rather actively, as the XO. A mutiny started that was pretty near half the Sulaco vs. Half the Sulaco. If you looked at the bridge before it was all cleaned, a huge number of marines died, the CO was damn near burned alive, most of the doctors, the CL, the MPs, and more marines than I could count were killed.

It was a lot more than an accusation of mutiny, it was easily the largest mutiny in the past few months.

This is my witness testimony.

I think I had a right to at least know something instead of being told after round that "wow people are upset about events, this is why I don't do events".

If it was Half Sulaco vs Half Sulaco battle, then alright, I rescind my complaint.

I have seen some of the escalation and while it was pretty rough and all, some marines started messing with the DS using flash and there was a loooot of mutineering on the go.

The event, from what I understood, was mostly orchestrated by W-Y though. They wanted to wipe all witness as to hide the knowledge of the aliens and keep the colony theirs.

Marines were given an order to come back up, overall DS even gave away their presence pretty early on without firing, etc. In my opinion it was fair and although some of you may think it was unwarrented, when marine wins it's pretty much the only time admins can PROPERLY do an event that involves any form of ERT or intervention. To add to this point, you were about 70~ marines alive against 6-7 deathsquad members.

My only real argument against the staff here, is the lack of answer on that from what I see on your side. It'd be nice if admins were more responsive as to at least inform the players that IC reasons are at stakes; BUT I'M SURE FEWEH HAD HIS REASONS (Mutiny and preserving IC information perhaps). Thus, I'm not quite questioning it here. Either way it was a nice change of pace to see DS vs Marine gameplay and you guys still had your victory moment thingy.

EDIT: Being locked anyway.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

I don't mind him telling me why when I ahelped.

What would have been nice was if he said why he did the event in OOC later on, instead of blaming the players for complaining when they have to fight to them was DS after a simple mutiny and marine victory.

Keep in mind quite a lot of the playerbase was planetside so we had no idea what was going on, hence why id like some better communication next time at the end of the round at LEAST, instead of just leaving it hanging and making it seem like it was just admin abuse.

I was present for the whole thing. It was done IC, because the marines staged a huge mutiny against the commander, with many dead on both sides. While the ground forces were finishing off the remaining xenomorphs, WY sent a deathsquad to deal with the situation, permanently. On the note of admin abuse, there were multiple and frequent announcements about what was going on, from command and MOTHER as I recall. There was also an announcement from Feweh that the round would continue. If you actually accuse someone of abusing their power, you should have more evidence than simply saying you had no idea what was going on. That's quite frankly now what this forum is for. I am going to lock this.

You actually don't have any right to this at all.

As this is a blatantly false and frivolous staff report based on nothing but entitlement, I will be applying a 1 day server ban to your account.

The ban has been removed. SLC overstepped his bounds a little as these situations should only be handled by heads (Apop, Rahl, Feweh, /N) and the ban was not justified. We'll work to not repeat this mistake in the future.
