What rule(s) were broken: Improper escalation, Marine Rule #1 regarding the use and application of lethal force.

Description of the incident: During an exciting duel between me with my fireax and STL's predator with his glaive, it ended up a chain KO on the predator. This led to the thing's death with aid from Alex 'Enigma' Nebek. After the predator died and I started looting it, Alex walked up, said 'Sorry about this' and proceeded to shoot me dead while my back was to him and I wasn't being hostile at all. Later while ghosted, I learned that it was a command objective to get their equipment, but to preserve round integrity for me, he could have asked me to come to the Sulaco. He didn't and asforementioned summarily executed on the field just for having the objective on my body.

Evidence (screenshots, logs, etc): It should be in the logs right after the duel between Tyler Borealis and STL's predator.

How you would punish the accused: As this seems to be a one time offense and I have not witnessed any sort of bad behavior from the player, I'd opt for a slap on the hand and a warning not to do it again. As this was handled IC via the MPs and CO, I don't know how this report will be handled. There was a better way to go about this but choices were made.

Probably could of been handled better, but gives them a bit more wiggle room to get away with that ICly.

I was the CE that round, IIRC the CO said to get the pred's equipment and not let the survivor have it, but I believe ALex misinterpreted it and killed the survivor.

That is correct, though a BO might have "suggested" them to kill the survivor,from what some people told me, I simply said to get the equipment and to confiscate it/not allow the colonist to take it. He proceeded to wield his rifle and shoot the colonist shortly after that.

Seems more like a mixture of roleplay progression, poor wording and poor circumstances.

Looking further into this via logs... Seeing a lot of RP and reasoning behind this.
Going to simply warn Alex that shooting people straight up is frowned upon.. however it's understandable given that if he probably did attempt to take you in.. you'd instead shoot him or run away.
