What rule(s) were broken: Don't be a dick. Griefing the round for Marines purposefully. Not allowing wounded to be evacced, or a planetside evac to occur.

Description of the incident: The Commander as a whole did almost absolutely nothing from a "Command" standpoint - no orders were issued from our SO's, and we basically just derped around. Once wounded needed evac she immediately began to play the "NO RETREAT, NO SURRENDER CARD" which can work fine, if done with a smidgen of intelligence/tactical foresight. Bill Carson, for example, is known for forcing HEALTHY marines into Combat, not leaving a dropship full of wounded to die. (clearly wounded can be treated and then thrust back into combat). Her complete lack of concern for the well being of her marines is indicative of, frankly, a troll. It's one thing to make sacrifices on the battlefield in seeking to complete the mission, it's another to purposefully leave a dropship full of 20 or so dead/wounded marines.

dchat after this incident was incredibly salty and abusive, lots of people telling the CO to drink bleach, die IRL, etc.

I'd say this is a case of breaking out the pitchforks.

While "No retreat" is a (extremely cliched, unfun, and incompetent) commander trope, he did imply that he did it because he was salty about not having power on the bridge. The decision was conscious and his actions removed a dropship full of people from the game. I'm all for removing from the whitelist.

Hey lads, I was the leader of the mutiny (or attempt at one) after the MPS refused to arrest him.

Was what he did shit? Yes,

Was what he did punishment worthy? No.

Command is a complicated cookie, there are lots of factors for why he may not have called up the shuttle.

Hell, Marines often beg for dropship evacs too early and intel gets old really quick.

Luiz was a pleb and he fucked up, he needs to learn from this rather than be crusified. If it happens often however, you better get the cross ready.

So, to cut ALL the salt that happened about me: I was having a great round and etc. but then, the power went out for 30 or 20 minutes or something, when it came back, most of squads were struggling to hold their ground and after that amount of time, I couldn't do much unless retreat, but losing for MT's fault was too much to handle, so I hoped that Marines could flip the table and maybe take the aliens down, since they weren't going to win, I 100% paniced IC and told to MP's "Arrest anyone trying to retreat". After some minutes of salt IC, we got boarded and a hunter deccaped me. That's it

I can provide support for this, I was a witness. The CO literally told us "You can still fight with a broken bone" and would not allow ANYONE even if you are extremely wounded to get off the dropship. It was only until too late that we convinced him that the extremely wounded could be evacced. While I wasn't a marine who experienced, an MP, it was very painful to watch him doom all those marines down there which essentially lead to our downfall.

I didn't see any of the threats in dchat, but I definitely agree those are crossing a line.

That said:

Behaviour like this, as Command, is pretty bad. Especially since someone said that it was what a Commander should do, in the first reply to this CO's application. That, to me, set off more red flags in my mind than the CO's behaviour.

That said, the CO said they 'didn't care' about the dying marines, leading to a decimation of the marines' forces. Yes, you're not supposed to win every round as the Marines, but that doesn't account for willful incompetence. This isn't good behaviour for a CO, and warrants, in my mind, at least temporary revocation of the player's whitelist, or at least being told by staff, officially, to take a short break from CO. If they learn their lesson, then they could be re-whitelisted and/or start playing CO again, and watched to make sure there's not a repeat of this incident.

I'd also like to note that their application was within 2% of being rejected, putting them on thin ice already. In most cases a repeat incident should be necessary for any punishment, but given it was just 1% away from the 70% threshold...

while I wasn't marine at the time, it is fun to do unfun tactics if they are done in moderation to break up the monotony of the round.

also hey people make mistakes. If he keeps being a dick then by all means remove him from whitelist but I don't think we should be banning off of one incident when people are so salty they tell him to drink bleach and admins have to mute the deadchat. let him give an apology if people want it and ask that he doesn't repeat the same situation again

CO is whitelisted to stop baldies from taking CO, going ssd and doing nothing all round.


Telling marines they cant evac is not against the rules. COs are there for RP and dependency of the role. Not to way the rounds or make everyone happy.

Alright, here is the base line.

The CDR originally said this to the XO when the XO told them they were retreating:

"SAY: Luiz 'Mises' Buarque/SadCorn : MP, be ready to arrest any marine that comes from the godamn DS 1 or DS 2"
"SAY: Luiz 'Mises' Buarque/SadCorn : NO RETREAT"

Later, he clarified it more specifically for the MPs:

"SAY: Luiz 'Mises' Buarque/SadCorn : Jesus christ, take care of the HEAVILY INJURIED, and arrest the healthy marines"

Nothing else I am seeing here is really OOC worthy. Honestly, its not even worth posting more than three lines of logs.

No violations of CMDR rules or server rules, this was not done to be "trolly", and this report seems to be made because of the order being unpopular, not rule breaking.
