Description of the incident:
I am not sure if this is the first time he has played as an engineer, so if that is true then I will be less salty, but if not this guy was a supreme ass to Alpha this round. We both got Squad Engineer for the round, and when we were gearing up I asked what items he wanted, he wanted the plasteel, I also left him another stack of metal. We get FOB duty and we went planetside to set up. We were told to set up the FOB east of LZ1, so he went left and used all of the plasteel in line underneath the Lazarus Landing POR73 sign to the left of LZ1, all of this without a word by the way. I asked repeatedly over comms where he went, no response. I ahelped it was told it was being looked into but odds are this is an IC issue. Honestly, I do not know how to resolve a situation where someone just wordlessly griefs and runs away, I told CO Weenie who was planetside with us about him wasting up resources and with him standing in this shit FOB that I used up everything to make, he says it doesn't matter and just heads west. I was going to go find this guy and confront him but as I got closer realized this was not gonna solve a damn thing, he had already gotten away with it. Went back to the FOB and got killed by a hunter that just waltzed through and killed me. I write this now in anger as the round is going on. mods I talked to Kazuku_myo and I believe Adralimas

This was deemed a IC problem. I'm not sure why you made a player report for something that you ahelped. Nothing is going to change in this ruling just because the report is somewhere else. This just wasted your time and my time for typing this up. Greifing isn't for someone who wastes material, it's for say someone randomly killed 10 marines in breifing. That would be classified as greifing. Another example of greifing would be someone destroys the ship. So next time, don't make a ban appeal for something you ahelped. Asking this to be denied and locked.

Edited: I also forgot to mention that this was made during the round that it happened in. This is IC in OOC. Do NOT do this again. Next time make a report after the round.

Based on other player reports I have read I did not realize that making a player report on someone you ahelped was a Bad Thing, it seemed standard. Also didn't know about the no posting during a round, so I apologize. I called this griefing because dismantling set up barricades gets you less of it in return, and plasteel is expensive. He also picked up as much as he could while I was taking it down. On top of that he refused to respond to queries over comms, forcing me to find him personally to ask why on Earth he was doing this. What RP defense could he possibly give on acting like this

New players may not understand what they're doing. You're also arguing against a situation that was already deemed a IC issue. There is no reason to stay mad over the situation. Just forgive and forget.

Rule 1 of reports - Wait a few hours before addressing it (I'd usually advise sleeping on it) or you'll risk slipping up.

While the Engineer appears to have been less than an optimal team mate, he doesn't appear to have outright broke any rules, there are are a number of factors which could of caused this behaviour, yet I tend to try assume that most people aren't malicious arses and more often than not clumsy arses, it is likely just an innocent mistake.

I'd advise you make a cup of tea and think on this.

If they are indeed a new player then I can understand their actions, like I said in my brief. If not, then can I at least get advice on how to handle something like this in the future IC, he went to the exact other side of where we were supposed to be, so I couldn't see what he was doing and stop him in time. I also feel that I must reiterate that he did not respond to anything comms. If he wants to learn, fine, I am willing to help new players. But from my perspective it seemed that he was just goofing around and it made things extremely difficult for me. Like I said, I am salty.
