Description of the incident: so I was building defenses at Telecomms by myself when I was approached by a predator, and I was just RPing thinking it was the scout spec, after a little while, he throws smart-discs at me while he was still cloaked, and so I defend myself by shooting at said smart-discs. after I shoot down the discs, I get plasma casted by the pred, and then after I get back up I am stabbed and subsequently dead.

Evidence (screenshots, logs, etc): I personally don't have any logs or screecaps, but there were also witnesses and I was told by Sirlordington to make a report shortly after my death.

How you would punish the accused: I would give the player a warning.

I be Ka'Torag-na Halkrath, I shall say my bit perhaps at a later note for others to give their input. Few honorable mentions to my knowledge observed my encounter as ghost well said so would be Jack Carpenter later when I finally did die. I do agree though, the plasma caster which can be found in logs was a light did over did such. After others have spoken, I shall tell the tale. Just to Clarify, Aye, Nancy was a Worthy Prey so others won't be dissuaded or confused among the Honor Code ruling.

yeah to clarify the problem, I'm not saying I was unworthy prey, my issue is the way in which he went about killing me as worthy prey

I think I saw this through a rail scope. Saw the predator throwing smart discs and Nancy shooting them, so I took some shots at it. Not sure if they connected or not. Nancy was then downed, predator de-cloaked, whacked her, and dragged the body off. I thought she got fucked by the discs, but her being plasma castered makes more sense.

Alright, I'll say my bit on the subject. Started abruptly observing Nancy Coldman after looking around a bit and checkin around if marines nearby. Was all alone near Tele Comms on ice Colony. Perfect time after few minutes watchin, made a few sounds I believe might been few of the new ones I can't recall. Sorta meddling a bit as she mistakened me for her spec friend. I still cloaked actived two smart discs, after she realized of it ran a bit a ways then opened fired deactivating one of em. I then decloaked to retrigger the one disabled, which I then recalled the secondary callin it forth to my hand and retriggered em. I was aware of the state of her health then a shot hit me either sniper or MR4 or even a standard rifle with a scope. Did hit em unsure being I was discovered and did fire singular caster for smart disc to do its job disabling then attempted to drag in the heat of moment was the reaction. In the moment, I believe it was more of a panic shot/muscle memory shot I did drag her away which eventually lead to her death. More shots did rang, Uncertain who shot more likely her spec friend. Was more intending more RPly approach to her death. Which if it were would have been much quicker and different events I reckon but indeed it was of my mistake I admit. It be up to yer discretion of what happens. I do apologize Val, it was a bit of unjust for I to presumbly fire that non-lethal/light plasma. Indeed, would of still been slain if reacting with light plasma. Uncertain if there was a hit or not eh my memory escaped me of total combat logs. Can pull em up, all chat logs and action logs or combat ones for the events of it. The time it happened eh I'd say probably either before 13:00 period or around 13:30ish.

Indeed, you did land a shot which worried me a bit being marines were hunting in packs. Being found out and alerting you lot. Few shots did ring about was it the sniper, MR4 or just scope modded rifle? Also, the plasma caster used were on light which doesnt do much damage. There is slight chance depending how many times/RNG does a tick which is easily recoverable as a marine like burn mark but doubt of it. Smart discs slashin her up, very tactical of its use once the enemy is in a weaken state or in tight position can disable em real good unsure if it'll just slash to death maybe to heavy crit then death. I have used smart discs fpr close quarter maps before seems doesnt really just kill I could be wrong.

It was just a scope modded rifle, I bet it didn't hurt a lot. M4RA and sniper bullets are all pretty good at piercing armor, regular rifle bullets aren't. I had also screamed for help over comms, had you hung around much longer about 6 marines would have been on you. I'm pretty sure the smart discs are kosher, though annoying to deal with. It's the plasma caster that spurred this debate.

The smartdiscs broke my arm and would have put me into paincrit, I didnt know other marines were around who could have shot the pred, so I can somewhat understand if there was confusion.

My main problem at the time was how I never even had a chance to fight back, and how early I died in the round.

Having had a few days to think about it, I have calmed down a bit. At the time I was upset and being encouraged by others to make a report, I'm not sure if it was neccesary now.

I think the rules are a bit too ambiguous concerning smart discs, so it's not exactly Shyguy's fault. I would be fine if this report were closed.

Pretty much if you have a gun, had a gun or even fired said gun at anytime during the mission you're free game to be hunted.

Unless you're severely wounded or helping a wounded marine.

This is exactly what happens in Predator 1 the movie, where Arnold stops the civilian women from firing a gun because he realizes that as soon as you use a lethal weapon the predator will classify you are prey.

If you've got a gun and all that, you're fair for honor hunts. That said, the report has a fair argument with it. While Shyguy shouldn't be using the plasmacaster in a fight, that's about all he's got going against him, and even still it wasn't a major infraction. Because both parties are understanding of the other and this isn't a huge overstep, no punishments will be placed on Shuguy for this. Hopefully, no future problems will occur as well. Resolved.
