Description of the incident: Edward saw me as a Researcher bring a Marine to the Research wing, I believe that she had an alien embryo inside of her. However, it was just shrapnel in her chest and after a minute I let her go. However, Edward saw me walk out with her and believed that I locked her up in Research Containment and that I'm a criminal. He then followed me into OR 4 and whined for MP's to arrest me, which they did after I concluded surgery. He followed me to the Brig and assisted MP's locking me up.

Evidence (screenshots, logs, etc): I don't have anything, but you can bet your bottom Admins do.

How you would punish the accused: Dewhitelist Edward as a Synth.

Alright. Firstly, you should wait until after a round is concluded before you file a player report.

Secondly, you -did- lock a marine in containment without A/helping it first and when you were discovered by the SO and Synth tried to play it off like you had done nothing wrong.

Thirdly, Edward did not break the Synthetic guidelines as he did not actually apprehend you himself. He merely informed the MPs of your crimes.

Read the rules before making any reports and such, otherwise it will be locked right away, even so, by the reasons stated above, The synth did nothing wrong.

Round is over now so I shall comment, I was assisting an SO when I saw you dragging a marine out of research, thats not normal. So I followed and asked the marine why he was in research and the marine said "The doctor wants me to have a larva baby." So I followed Arthur into the surgery room and watched to make sure he properly treated the marine and while watching I reported the crime to the MPs who then came and arrested them. I then followed them to the brig and gave my statement. I dont believe I did anything wrong, neither do any of those who have previously commented, regardless I eagerly wait for this to be resolved.

Furthermore Its in my synthetic programming to ensure harm doesn't come to humans as best I can, it would be breaking my programming not to follow you and ensure the marine is properly treated and doesn't die.

Stop posting reports about ongoing rounds. Seriously, just stop, it's evident IC in OOC and it leads to a lot of salt-induced baseless player reports. I advise to give it some time, think it through and if you still feel something was wrong post your report.

As for the report, I was there and what the synth did is perfectly legit. You ahelped asking for us to tell Edward to stop acting as an MP and a detective. He was not enforcing Marine Law, he simply saw something suspicious, asked about it and came to the conclusion that you committed a crime so he reported it. The CMO could've done that, the CO could've done that. Anyone who saw that could've done it. He didn't enforce the Law and he didn't break any of the guidelines.

Synthetics are allowed to report crimes as anyone else would be able to. So far this sounds like, at worst, an IC misunderstanding and I’m not seeing a guideline break here.

What guideline are you suggesting they broke? What specifically caused that guideline to be broken?

I don't know, honestly. After reconsidering, I think I just overreacted and was mad over being arrested while doing stuff. That's my issue, to be honest.

Synthetic units are not allowed to enforce Marine Law themselves, but they can report whatever they want. In the future, don't post things until after the round is over. Rules are still rules and we need people to follow them. Resolved - Edward didn't break any protocols.
