Description of the incident:
During a round on Prison, I was playing as a medic just behind the front lines in a crowded area, I had multiple casualties I was trying to tend to. If one is familiar with medic, this can be a stressful situation.
One victim I was trying to revive with paddles, when a marine (with full health I'll add) bumped me and reset the sequence just as it was about to finish.
Out of frusturation, I pulled my 9mm pistol out and shot at the marine, who was already 3 blocks away from me, and to the best of my knowledge wasn't hit. I had no intent to kill, and considering I was using the weakest weapon in the marine's loadout I didn't expect to even seriously harm him.

Immediately after I get a DM by Kneez demanding I explain myself for shooting at the marine, I'm a bit exasperated by this considering I have multiple casualties to take care of.
I try to discuss the events from my side to him while trying (failing) to help other marines, Kneez begins getting agitated that I'm not replying to him right away and I literally have to LOOC to everybody around me that I can't help anybody right away because Kneez wants to talk to me.

At this point Kneez wants to know why he shouldn't ban me for apparently breaking the escalation rules and my response is essentially "Can it wait? I'm in the middle of a warzone here" and told him that "You can ban me if you like, but I'm posting my side of the story when you do" and a minute later I'm banned for three hours when I'm in the middle of reviving a dead Alpha

I have no interest in playing on the server if this is how issues are going to be handled in game, deadmin.

I want you to read and analyze what you said right there.

Also, if you're supporting your case in the 'lack of harm in your intention' it's still improper escalation and could be marked a grief too.

First of all, you should really have waited until the round was actually finished to make your report.

Second of all, you clearly broke escalation rules. You don't just *shoot* someone because they pushed you out of the way while you were trying to revive something. Imagine if a paramedic just pulled out a glock if you got in their way and shot you in the face. This is an MRP server, and behavior like that is not acceptable.

Whatever you may be doing doesn't excuse you from a ban. Kneez even waited for you to finish treating some marines, but he had to ban you eventually.

You already had a note for improper escalation and you were given several chances to persuade me not to ban you and yet you didn't take several of them then said that you'd just give your side of this on the forums. Also, you should always wait before the round ends for anything regarding the round. If you would've said just a little bit for your case, you wouldn't've been banned. The only way to get your to respond to me was to threaten to sleep you.

And I did wait a little for you to treat some marines before banning you.

You do realize that the marine bumping me and you DM'ing me made that marine un-revivable right? I was expecting you to realize that considering you saw what happened.
I did not expect a 9mm to actually do any damage and lets be real here, the 9mm isn't considered effective at all to begin with, especially not against other marines.

I didn't actually expect any of this to actually change any of your minds, but to at least get everybody to see where I was coming from.

You wouldn't ICly assume that a pistol would do no damage..It's a gun and guns are made for killing people regardless of how effective/ineffective they are at that. What you did was insanely stupid and not something a real marine would do and the biggest concern of all is that you're trying to report him for the correct handling of the situation.

It seems you clearly broke the rule of lethal force for marine and are reporting a moderator for banning you for it.
You weren't showing anything that showed you understood you were breaking the rules or that you wouldn't do it again in pms and preferred to be snide about it in looc.
There isn't any issue with this ban here that I see, that's not a reason to shoot a marine over and from your attitude a warning wouldn't have done anything.

A gun is a lethal weapon, no "shooting to wound" here. Being "important" is not an excuse not to get banned, evidently. I don't see Kneez being unprofessional, incorrectly enforcing rules or destroying the RP and enjoyment of the server here.

Firstly.
The 9mm is the MOST effective against other marines. To the point you are better off throwing it at an alien than shooting them with it.

Secondly, you did break the rule. Based on what I see here, if Kneez did anything wrong, it was probably not sleeping you when you weren't responding as if he slept you it would have made you discussing with him your only concern.


I really don't see how deadmining someone who is enforcing a rule you broke is appropriate as a punishment either. I feel like this is more emotionally charged than anything else.

I'm increasing this ban by another 24 hours for a mixture of a purely salt based report and posting during the round in progress, which is against the rules. Start following the rules.
