For the duration that there are prisoners in the Brig, the Chief MP or a regular MP must be in security AT ALL TIMES (unless it's an emergency).

Description of the incident: I already ahelped about this. Around 13:00 PST, MPs arrested PO Albert Attenburg. a little time after his sentence, i went down to brig, as i was the LT of the operation, and we were lacking pilot officers to man the Alamo. After i see the pilot officer in the cell, i searched the whole brig for any MPs or the CMP. I found no one, and as the procedure states, there must be a MP or CMP guard the area. I opened this against the Jack Knight because he was the CMP, and he's responsible for security department. Also he said something like that " I didn't know we had someone in the brig"

Evidence (screenshots, logs, etc): Sadly, i didn't take any screenshots but the moderator who answered my ahelp seen it, and he warned the MPs as well?

How you would punish the accused: I don't have an idea, but job-ban would be cruel about such thing. Warning, or timed ban?

I assigned Alan Jones to the brig during our first wave of marines in the brig and he was still there when I left the PO.
Soon after I hear the PO is SSD and theres only a few minutes left on his sentence so I tell him to follow protocol and wait for it to end before throwing him in cryo. When you told me that there was somebody in the brig I had assumed that the PO was in cryo by then and that Jones had left.
When I went to the brig after your warning, I saw an MP infront of the cells on a chair, watching them, so I assumed that you either missed them or they left for a few seconds.

That MP went to brig after i ahelped about the situation, and moderator told me that he will "warn the MPs" about it. She came to there after i waited there for a minute or two. She put a chair as you said, and told me to do my job instead of guarding the brig (wtf?)

I was the person that responded to the Ahelp. By the time I jumped to the brig, about 10 seconds after the Ahelp I saw that Jack Knight was personally in security itself, and an MP was in the brig too. From what I could see, there were 2 MPs in security, and no rules were being broken. I warned nobody.

I noticed that Evan was in the brig, and possibly just didn't see Jack Knight in the South part of security.

Bear in mind an MP may be in security but still out of sight of the prisoners. Furthermore, this was already handled by a staff member in-game and apparently he didn't find any rulebreaks.

Well, I want to add 3 things.

1. They do not have to be in the brig they have to be in security. They are 2 diffrent terms for diffrent area's.

Brig is the part with the cells. Security is the entirety of the area.

2. If Jack Knight ordered an mp to be in the brig/security then the mp should be there because otherwise it would be insubordination and it is no longer jack knight who did something wrong.

Mps have to follow marine law aswell and he did his duty by making sure someone is there.

3. All mp's would be liable to make sure this happens correctly not just the cmp.

If the cmp does not know there is a prisoner (still) in the brig. (As seems to be the case.) But an mp does it falls on them to make sure the rule is followed.

I made a quick run on the whole security before i ahelp about it, and there was no one in the security. After the time i wrote the ahelp a MP showed up in a minute or two, headed to cells.

I don't know if that MP went in after i finish runnin around in security, because i was at the cells part when i ahelped and warned CMP about the situation.

Edit: CMP was the one who issued the arrest of the PO, and the head of the security. I didn't know who he order, so i opened the report about him.

The PO was SSD and we were waiting for his timer to finish in order to cryo him.

I was actually in brig duty at that time. However by the time you went to the brig I responded to the CO’s call for the CMP to CIC. As i thought it was an emergency and I was nearby i responded.

At the sime time you went down there to watch over the brig. Shortly after I went back to post. In a time of less that 30 seconds.

And I do believe there was also another MP in security/brig area at the sane time, because i was just watching cameras with them earlier. You probably missed them.

In my opinion this is a very petty poor report on your side, picking on little things like that, because we clearly did not abandon the prisoner nor the brig.

I dont know why you to made the report on Jack Knight’s name in the first place. Since he’s mostly unrelated to the issue up to the moment you notified him via comms.

I already wrote why i opened the report about the CMP, i didn't know who he ordered, but it was you as he said and you agreed. I didn't see anyone inside the security as i said, because i made a full run in it. Even checked the isolation and the evidence. After that, i ran back to cells so that is probably the time you or other mp arrived at the security. It seems like there was a little time like 5 or 10 seconds that he left alone in there.

As cmp and you stated the report must be opened to you, not to Jack. But after hearing the admins and people involved with it, i would love to lock the report.

Right, if you ahelped about it and a staff member looked into it, it was most likely dealt with so you don't need to make a player report on the matter. it should be noted that staff usually won't give you an update on the outcome of an investigation, so not receiving one does not mean it was ignored. Resolved - This was dealt with via in-game ahelps.
