I was the scout spec for that round. I managed to duel the Predator and nearly killed him by breaking his chest, although the dreaded paincrit and hunger slowdown sealed my fate. The Marines nearby then proceeded to try and revive me, which of course a Predator hunting worthy prey cannot allow to happen. The medic and anyone around my character's corpse were actively keeping the Predator from his trophy, so he did no wrong in shooting wildly at the gathered marines, and he reasonably had no time to sit back and properly assess who was actively shooting at him and who wasn't, and who wouldn't be a threat. Anything in order to claim his trophy (juicy groin meat, yum).

On dying, I spent the rest of the round on-and-off watching the Predator. A lot of the incidents of him shooting Marines either off-screen or even on-screen were accidents. One incident evolved him breaking a wall with his plasma pistol, and accidentally shooting the marine on the other side. I proceeded to watch said marine buckshot in response, and for her insolence the Predator gunned her down on the spot. To me, fair game.

The only questionable incidents I saw were him harassing a lone medic that was just trying to make his way back to the FOB by punching him and trying to get him to duel. When the medic was reluctant, the Predator ICly realized he was a medic, exchanged a few words with him and left, so really that's a non-issue.

The other incident I saw, however, was when an elite defender decided he had enough of these motherfucking Jamaicans in his motherfucking hive and challenged the Predator directly, off-weeds and was actually winning. Rather than fight the defender one-on-one, however, the Predator refused to use melee and shot at them with a combination of spikes, plasma bolts and plasma caster blasts. I get that the Predator had a broken chest, but that shouldn't really be a factor. If you're going to fight people to the death and expect them to adhere to a melee-only fight in order to level the playing field in your advantage, you should at least have the courtesy to do the same and not pull out all the tricks at your disposal in order to escape and survive when defeat looks like it's a possibility. A Predator with a broken chest is still a formidable opponent.

Do I think these things are worthy of a dewhitelist? Not really. I feel as if this report, even if it gets denied, can be a learning experience with something to take away from by Redikal and any other whitelisted Predators viewing this, and this likely won't happen again. So why devote so much energy into demanding he be dewhitelisted? Just let it chill, my friends. Be happy.

Right, so I've taken over whitelists and this report has been brought up a lot. While this report doesn't seem like a huge overstep overall, it's clearly caused some problems. At the very least, a predator player should be able to show control with their abilities and not shoot up everything in the round. While Redikal's actions did lead to problems this round, he won't be losing his whitelist. Thing's like calling someone a nerd is not LRP as in the end, the Predator text is just an English translation of their language, while the LOOC was not crossing any lines and the defender replied back. Predators are expected to use their tools with responsibility as to not imbalance the round and failing to do so lead to this report. Because of this and a string of server warnings over the past two months will result in a one-month suspension from Predator. After the month has passed, Redikal will be readded to predator and, hopefully, there won't be any future reports.

Resolved - One-month suspension from predator will be applied to the player.
