Description of the incident:
As PO, which I had joined the round 7 minutes post-start, I found the Normandy PO - Aaron Patel - SSD outside the ship. I brought him into the bubble and left him there, without cryo'ing him at that time since I had to finish prepping the Normandy.
Aaron came back give or take 15-20 minutes later, and decided to argue me about who called dibs first. I tried explaining to him that he went SSD, so I took command of the Normandy.

He proceeded to deploy the Normandy on transport, deploying it to the planet, which allowed Runners to flood the ship, and he shot me twice in the hand, removing my hand. He then tried to run out but got ganked as well. He didn't even show remorse once in deadchat.

It's worth noting present staff didn't handle my ahelps.

As an additional note, Aaron's behavior caused an MP, and countless of Almayer staff to die, and caused medevac and CAS to become literally defunct for a long time.

In short, he fucked up the round for the Marines majorly, if they didn't win.

Let me go into this.

What Aaron said in his ahelp was a straight-up lie. He walked up to me, and literally fired two rounds into me. He wasn't trying to fire out the door, he got up with premeditated intent, shot me so I was incapacitated twice or three times (didn't count), then tried to run off, since he said, and I quote: "Might as well go outside and run around until I die alone."

This person is a compulsive liar so as to save his own skin.

I don't have any key witnesses to this, so I can only give my word that this is how it happened.

What's important to note as far as determining this situation goes; he never called for help over the radio, nor did he ever say there were aliens. This should be some kind of evidence.

Patel is in the wrong IMO, when you go SSD of course someone’s gonna take over your position if it’s vital so that the mission can be complete, but just as well Melissa could have easily just ran the Alamo instead since we didn’t have a PO there.

From my point of view, it was a petty argument that got out of hand and caused multiple shipside personnel and ground side personnel to die, and I don’t think it should go unpunished. Honestly think both players here should be warned. As POs you can’t be so fucking childish, they’re one of the most important roles out there. And in doing so they inadvertently ended multiple peoples rounds because of a selfish argument between the both of them.

This part in particular is very funny. I can't be considered impatient and childish if I had no doing in the departure of the Normandy to the planet if my co-pilot decided to go that route to be an annoying wad.

Alright, in my opinion, whilst the situation could have been handled better ICly, the point of matter is the actions taken by Wowmark.

Given the short timeframe between when he shot you and when the Xenos started slashing makes it very believable that they were already on the ship and he -may- have been trying to shoot them.

However, given that he admitted that he was just doing everything possible to annoy you to get you to give him back the ship that he claimed "dibs" on is just evident of his attitude and behaviour of well, childish really, after DCing/logging out a few minutes into the round to then come back twenty minutes later and expect to be given control of a dropship is a little farfetched in my mind, to then decide instead of working together he was going to just annoy you and launch the dropship repeatedly on transport runs is just... Beyond ridiculous.

My opinion is that he should be job banned from PO as he has shown blatant disregard for other players and has shown a selfish and childlike manner to the point where it affected not only the other pilots round by getting them killed, but also the MPs, engineers, doctors and reqs staff that also died due to the xenos getting onboard the Almayer.

im in agreement with Overlord. The simple fact that he also stated he would shoot thelion as well. would indicate that he could have planned on shooting them as well and just used the xenos as a cover up for his intentions.

Player will be receiving a PO jobban. It's one thing to have an IC disagreement, it's another to escalate it to the point that it affects other players who aren't even involved and to be a dick just for the sake of being a dick. He shouldn't have sent down the normandy over such a minor thing, which caused all of this to happen in the first place and the death of countless shipside crew, since some xenomorphs were sent up onboard. The friendly fire being intentional can't be proved as xenomorphs were already onboard by that point.
