General Admin Suggestion/Complaint - Bad Communication

One day, when that motherfucker BYOND pulls its shit thogeter and stops locking my chat to the bottom when i try to scroll up ... One day, i will be able to answer every ahelp. Somehow...

This. I knew that BYOND is a piece of shit, but only after getting admin panel access I realized how much. If someone a-helps during combat, you have to scroll all these combat logs up to mark his a-help, scroll up again to respond, and hope it doesn't lock to bottom in the meantime. And every entry in the chat has a chance to scroll it back to bottom again. Ctrl+c'ing messages requires ninja-grade reflexes.


And as I've said in msay on many occasions, I won't answer USMC messages or WY fax for that very reason - my english is simply not good enough to sound professional.

Our mark system only solves the problem of two admins answering the same question (And some people don't use it because they say it lags them).
The main issue is not multiple admins jumping on the same ahelp, which can be easily solved. (Msay "Yours). The problem is that no admins answer a given ahelp, which I think the ticket system would help with.

Also, for the chat scrolling problem just select a portion of the chat and "Climb" (If necessary) upwards as far as you have to.

Maybe this doesn't make sense.

If you click and drag with the mouse, you can select a piece of text. When you select that piece of text, byond chat will now "Lock" to that. So you'll always be brought back to it no matter how much you scroll down.

You can use this to break the scroll lock. You can also restore the scroll like simply by scrolling down, and possibly clicking on the down arrow once you're on the bottom.

I've tried selecting text ... It still uses the fukken scroll lock
