Your Byond Key: Rob606
Your Character Name: Gristle McThornbody
Accused Byond Key(if known): Unknown
Character Name: Hunter (793)
Approximate time and date of the incident (Central US Time for fastest results): 1635 EST - 5/10/2016
What rule(s) were broken: Xeno Rule 1 "Do not Kill infected hosts (once they have the icon) if they are defenseless or nested"
Description of the incident: I saw Hunter (793) dragging a facehugged marine near the nexus - inbetween FOB Nexus and LZ1. I fired with my pistol and gave chase, swapping to my pulse rifle as soon as I could. I gave chase north until I came across what I assume was a double stacked facehugger tile - I was insta-dropped. Hunter (793) then turned up and killed me outright. No other marines were nearby to help me or stop him.
I asked Hunter (793) in LOOC afterwards - why did he do it? His response was that he was about to die and didn't want to risk me getting up.
Evidence (screenshots, logs, etc): I don't have the exact logs of the kill because I was knocked out.
How you would punish the accused: Nothing too major, but he should really learn Xeno rules on the server, so a ban for a few days should be more than enough. Not sure on your exact policies.
He didn't break the round or ruin anything - just kinda surprised me that he wasted a perfectly good host.

Getting hugger decapped (being slashed to death while you are stunned from being hugged) is not a violation of the rules. It's a common xenomorph tactic on the server, and I would probably have done the same in that situation. Edit: Though it sounds like he could have just took you to the hive, but still, not really a violation of the rules.

Really? Seems counter-intuitive if you can get a perfectly valid host. Getting hugged knocks you down and out.

You have only about 30-60 seconds to take the host back into the hive. One the marine wakes up, it's near impossible to do anything to them unless they are already nested or inside of the hive. It usually makes more sense to kill them right then and there. I'm guessing the hunter was just too wounded and far from the hive to really do anything with you.Rob606 wrote:Really? Alright, fair enough then. I guess the rule wasn't broken as I wasn't impregnated yet.\N wrote: You have only about 30-60 seconds to take the host back into the hive. RP - wise it doesn't make sense unless the marine could be a threat to the queen or the eggs. But eh, that's a discussion for another thread.
