Description of the incident:
We were defending the FOB and it was obvious we could not win, the CO ordered a retreat so I, as an marine engineer, decided to save the sentries, so they could be redeployed in a counter attack, the sentries were saved and two marines perished when defending the evac. We were called to briefing so I lined the sentries by the pod expecting us to be ordered to counter attack and attended the briefing. It was interrupted when the aliens began boarding the ship, naturally I though, "we could use the sentries to keep them at bay and reduce casualties" however upon return, I witnessed a moderator name Mizari DELETING the sentries, upon bringing it up and ASKING why they stopped on the last sentry and responded claiming, it was metagaming......however it wasn't, there was no intent to use them for ship defense as he claimed and yet he deleted them. I continued to argue that it was unfair as he did NOT bother investigating, he simply PUBLICLY STATED in OOC not to use sentries in defense BEFORE aliens arrive, yet that didn't make sense as they were not even set up, nor were they near the shuttle, which was what got called down. So I asked him if there was anyone higher to speak to about this, and he replied with /I think its time for a time out/......I said no, fuck that because I was TIRED of how he was treating me, it was completely uncalled for, and unprofessional. I was NOT happy at all in the situation so yes, I too was rather rude.

I do not feel I have the power, or correct judgment to say this but i'm going to say it. I'm sure he is normally a good moderator but either a demotion to trial moderator or a warning, as it was completely unfair that he did not investigate at all, and treated me like a baby

Alright I'll clarify a few things.

You've submitted no evidence and you quoted saying that you asked for a superior which you did not. The reason why no PM was sent to yourself was for the reason of nobody being near the sentries at the time of the incident and as such were removed as Marines prep'd for a defense of the Sulaco knowing the aliens would attack (The alarm had not sounded at the time) however when the Alarm did sound, I left you with one sentry to be fair. The reason for the assumption you were Metagaming by placing the sentries all in the hanger were for the Metagame that occured regarding the eastern side of the hanger which was filled with girders and generators before any alarm was sounded.

Assuming you were near the sentries you would have been PM'd. When I noticed you coming down the ladder, I stopped deleting and you quickly AHELP'd which I responded the reasoning for it. You were treated fairly as everyone else is treated in an unbiased manner. You were told you needed a time out because you were abusive and talking in all capital letters in your PM's cursing and whatnot. That is not acceptable in any circumstance. If you dont agree with said ruling you can indeed report a staff member as you have done so but the reasoning for this is justified.

I will also clarify this whole scene was acted upon due to multiple Ahelps reporting said "Metagame" and in interest of the round being fair to both sides, I took action as the only staff member available online.

I'm sorry, but i'm 100% positive I stated that the sentries were not set up, and you did not investigate in ANY manner, not to mention you still told me I needed a timeout, which pissed me off further, and was entirely uncalled for mizari.

and as far as I can tell mizi did nothing wrong here, actually it's the opposite as you where the one being overly aggressive.

As showcased above mizi opened the conversation by explaining to you that they were removed for meta because that is the assumption he had at the time considering there was no other way to know why the sentries where inside the hanger mid-game. You responded aggressively from the get-go using harsh language and caps to facilitate your anger. This is not acceptable at all.

Even more so while mizi continued to try and calmly explain why they were deleted you continued to aggressively argue back going as far to say he was abusing power and then start a LOOC rant about it which also is not acceptable.

Now while you did request an admin and mizi did not facilitate that request (he will be spoken to about this) you where way to aggressive in your messaging and because of that mizi had to begin ignoring your ahelps (I would have muted)

As far as im concerned your luckily you had mizi talking to you because if it was me you would have been banned for being so aggressive towards a staff member as we do not tolerate it at all.

So my judgement here? mizi did pretty much everything right and almost nothing wrong. The only issue was not facilitating your request for an admin and deleting the sentries rather than having someone move them.

I spoke to Mizi about deleting turrets in the hangar. He had the right intentions, but I can see why you'd consider it frustrating at the same time.

However, if I was in Mizi's position you would of been banned for the way you were speaking to Staff.
Him telling you to calm down basically is not un-professional and he could of really just worded it better instead of "you need a time-out"... but no big deal.

Furthermore, just this round you got all upset/aggressive in LOOC when one of your Ahelps were set to "no-response".

Unless TR feels the need, nothing will come of this report and I completely support Mizi in this.
You however will receive a warning on your notes for this behavior as it seems to be a consistent thing.

I feel a bit different about this.

I don't think they left them in the hanger for easy deployment against aliens. I mean, they aren't going to draw the sentries with them all over the ship. I'd have left them in the hanger myself.

I think, he got upset because the sentries were being deleted and they clearly should not have been.

Unless they have defenses built up (I know that someone else had built defenses in the right side engineering section) you shouldn't be deleting anything. And even then, you need to INVESTIGATE before deletion.

OK after reading the pms listed above. I am seriously not happy with how this was handled at all. With either party. I will be having a conversation with our mod. This situation was entirely handled extremely poorly. Zero Investigation was done before things were deleted. And No where was their even an attempt at hailing down an Admin or Head Staff when the player asked for someone higher up.

I do apologize For how things were handled and I do hope that it doesnt happen again. Im also Not happy with How you spoke with one of our staff members. But, I can understand your frustrations so No punishment will be delt to you because of it. Just take it as a warning on being a bit more level headed.

In the future should you run into this again. Try to remain as calm as possible and if any staff refuses to attempt to get a higher up when you as to speak to a higher up, then come here and make a report on said staff member, as that is allowed and the staff member is required to try and get ahold of someone higher in the chain of command.

If i may, I will add in Mizari can jump to conclusions (like yesterday at like 3-4 AM EST) there was a sentry left in the hangar AND facing AWAY from the shuttle(and it was off) with no other apparent defenses set up around the hangar or in adjacent areas (that i had access to at the time anyway). And mizari announced in OOC don't set up hangar defences or i will delete them. They weren't deleted because a marine engi moved it to briefing. Just as a witness to his actions.


Also i can kinda understand why he is salty, Mizari essentially just deleted 480 cargo points (Or in a better way: shit that is worth more than like 5 marines)

If there are admins/higher staff and someone requests to talk to one, it should be directed.

And mods, probably shouldn't be deleting shit without checking with higher staff members.
