A Seal walked into a Club, an Elite Runner walked into a Yautja War Glaive.

Your Byond Key: Yacobpo157

Your Character Name: Jacob 'Paladin' Stover

Accused Byond Key(if known): N/A

Character Name: Dhi'rauta Bhu'ja

Approximate time and date of the incident (Central US Time for fastest results): 3:52PM EST/2:53PM CST (15:52/14:52)

What rule(s) were broken: I wasn't sure how to make this complaint, but I'm fairly certain that the Pred Honor Code was broken and as that counts as their equivilant as Marine Law I guess this is a conflict with Yautja Law? Basically this 1. Hunting Worthy Game and 6. Wound Game.

Description of the incident: After being shot multiple times by a sentry while aiding the marines against the loosing hive, he engaged in combat with a couple of runners and failed to kill them, while they attempted to retreat and aid the Queen that was under attack. Didn't strike me as a fair fight and it lacked any honor. Even if he had killed them, an elite runner isn't a very good trophy to bring back to your clan.

Evidence (screenshots, logs, etc): I honestly don't know how to take screenshots, but the logs will show him trying (and failing) to kill a couple of runners.

How you would punish the accused: Never heard of that person as a Predator, but then again I don't look for their name I look to shoot them, so a reminder of the Predator lore and that Yautja hunt big game for honor and not weak xenomorphs who asked the other young runner for directions.
It's not dying after you shot it a couple of times? I think the real question is, why didn't you keep shooting?

1. Hunting Worthy Game: When hunting, the hunter must be sure that his prey is considered game. To be considered "prey" and be lawful to kill the prey much fit the following requirements:
◦Can defend itself and/or is able to kill the hunter (SSD is a big no-no, same with marines who are in crit and bleeding out with some exceptions listed below)

◦Not linked to other lives (e.g. if you come across a marine dragging another marine alone, neither are prey, unless they were previously engaged as prey)

◦Is not Struck with diseases or injuries preventing a honorable hunt (someone who has lost limbs and not had them replaced yet).

I highlighted the part that makes this acceptable.
Runner(s) were previously engaged, they are acceptable to be engaged at any point.

Resolved unless I'm not understanding this correctly?

It doesn't sound like they were previously engaged as prey, from what I read (Though I had to re-read it a couple times).

"The predator is helping the marines against the outmatched hive and is shot by a sentry multiple times. The predator attacks a couple runners who were running away to help the Queen. The predator shouldn't have attacked the runners because they are, after all, just runners." Right?

I believe the main issue presented by the OP is that not only was the hive losing, but the prey (Runners) are inferior and shouldn't have been hunted at all, being so weak and runnery.
TLDR: Go back and read it. I spent time writing that, ya know.

Doesnt seem like the honor code was broken
It was previously engaged AND it was an ELITE Runner, nearly ancient

Jones has a point. An elite or ancient runner can be hellish to deal with, be you marine or pred.
