Description of the incident: I heard the dropship land as a runner and went to investigate , this was the first time they were on the planet so they couldn't have had any other encounters. Immediately without me doing anything he fires at me with a shotgun slug and kills me.

No, that's a fucking lie and secondly, Queen+Praet rushed the fucking telecomms as we JUST LANDED and saw you. You camped the fucking T-Comms and we killed you for doing so.

While I was a part of that round, I wasn't witness to the events mentioned in this report, so I've nothing to add there.

But I'll just throw in this small snippet of the metagaming rule:

To my understanding, killing on first contact isn't against the rules, unless they specifically hunted you down after you fled. Whether or not that took place, I don't know, but yeah...

I can vouch for that as I was Mature Runner, Queen and Praetorian were exploring domes and got cut off as an excuse for "Metagame" of the Marine arrivals. Commander however has went down with Raspie and shown where it lands so the Aliens could attack there but not the pod. Why they were at the pod loc I have no clue.

Fun fact is that we stood for five seconds before I moved in, buckshotting him and ending him. He did not fled or anything at all.

We use to enforce this a lot pre-alpha but we took a more lax stance towards shooting aliens on first contact.

Its not really enforced as its super situational and hard to tell if other marines shot at other aliens first.

Remember its a hive-mind as well so they know previous humans are dangerous. Even most survivors have weapons and use them as well.

That has nothing to do with that statement , also I Was alone in tcomms when this happened and I wasn't "camping" I was just standing there and you killed me without me even moving. That is hardly a threat and doesn't give any valid reason to kill on first contact.

This situation was exactly first contact , this was the second the droppod arrived hence they cannot have had any previous encounters.

As I said, we don't enforce this and it's really hard to track it down by logs alone.
It's just one of those things that isn't very kosher to do, but it's generally the same type of players who always do it.

I'll put a note on his account as thats generally all will do. So if in the future another power-gamey/meta-gamey thing comes up we can look back on this as well.
