Approximate time and date of the incident (Central US Time for fastest results): 12:00-1:00 AM Central 7/19/16

What rule(s) were broken: ID Theft

Description of the incident: August as a survivor, found the body of alpha marine John Harkens on the planet several hours into the round. She took the ID because "she needed one" then was killed by a runner with the ID still on her. Not in her hand, not in her bag, in her ID slot. (Granted, there was a moderator online, but August logged out shortly after dying.)

Evidence (screenshots, logs, etc): Witnesses (probably, a lot of people were following her as a ghost and i'm sure i wasn't the only one that saw her take the ID) The logs if you can tell that someone took something off of a body.

How you would punish the accused: However long the ban for ID theft is. (I don't know, a day? I have no idea if this is their first offense of this type or not)

My question, WHY the hell didn't you message the admin by Ahelp.

Secondly the ID theft rule is a bit hit and miss as it technically ONLY applies to LIVING people, It's still nonkosher to take IDs from dead bodies because they must be returned if their cloned/revived/adminhealed, but it's not actually illegal.

Final Thoughts: While I still believe you should have messaged the admins first before going for a Player Report, My personal suggestion is to let this go (with maybe a note), As this is a REALLY minor problem.

I just call it like i see it, i didn't realize ID theft was so hit and miss.

Hello, August here. The reason I took the ID was because I was planning to go to the marine ship since I was kinda bored, and I didn't want to be shot by the auto cannons. I died like, a minute later either way
